INTRODUCTION
Skills and knowledge play an important role in an individual life’s. The varied skills help and
guides in high education of that individual. These provide good opportunities and great learnings
to a person. There are anonymous skills that are important and necessary for higher studies such
as communicating and listening skills, decision making skills along with problem solving skills
and many (de Gennaro, Loia and Piscopo, 2022). Various skills are essential for people as they
help them in developing their personal and professional growth and development. The market
possesses high level of competition that leads an individual to learn and develop different skills
that will help in enhancing and building them in attaining as well as achieving their personal and
professional skills. The main motive of this essay is to evaluate and discuss problems that have
raised from working from home. This happened because of the global pandemic that happened in
the recent past. This essay discusses about the potential solutions that can reduce or eliminate
those identified issues. The problems that have been discussed within this essay are the
communication and collaborating problems along with various distractions that are present in
homes. These distractions can be of any kind like not being able to work properly, other voices
of children, works of parents and many other (Dicu, Rybnikova and Steger, 2022). This essay
discusses solutions that can help in reducing or overcoming these solutions. The main problems
that have been addressed within this essay are communication and collaborating issues. The
other issue that has been addressed is about the various distractions that are present in
households. It can be said that these problems and issues have occurred because of the global
pandemic that happened because of covid.
TASK
The two main problems and issues that have been addressed in this essay are described as
follows:
Problem 1- Ineffective communication and collaboration
Communication is very important between people as it helps in understanding what one is
talking or trying to make the other person understand. As in today’s world, it can be seen
that it is already a difficult task for people to have a face to face communication, but it’s a

much harder activity when it comes to communicate from working especially from home. It
can be seen that human mostly rely on the communication that is nonverbal. Communication
and collaboration is done with the sources like messages or gestures or on video
conferencing any many other (Gangopadhyay, 2020). These nonverbal communication
techniques lead to mixed signals or wrong transferring of information to other person. It can
also result in various misconceptions that can be understood by any human. Misconception
of the message can lead to wrong passing of information in between two or more people or
even seniors and juniors of an organisation. For example, if there is something that the
senior is making understand to that person who is working from home, there can be easily
misconception or misunderstanding that can happen with that individual who is working
from home (Hains, Hains and Reinhard, 2022). That is why it can be said that effective
communication is one of the major issue or problem that is being faced by the person who is
working from home.
Problem 2- Distractions at home
The second problem or issue that is addressed in this essay is that of the various distractions that
are present at home. It is seen and observed that even the employees or people who are most
disciplined as well as completely organized with their operations and functions related to the
organisation also get distracted and disturbed in their work at home. There are unlimited
distractions and disturbance that are present in the house and these distract from working. For the
instance, in the recent time period it is seen that even a pile of dirty dishes disturbs along with
dusty bookshelf that is present is a disturbance, because mothers can’t let that happen (Juric,
2021). The family members also start talking or spending time with the person who is
working. It in the next instance can be seen that a 20 to 25-minute interval or break is
always turned and changes into two hours of a day. It sometimes can result in the full day
wastage for the employees. The other thing is that, those people who live along with their
family, friends or roommates face disturbance and distractions on regular basis that are
concentration or focus breaking interruptions (Shegai, Krivosheeva and Orazova, 2021).
These interruptions result in being a problem or an issue for the people working and
operating their jobs at home.

Solution 1
For reducing or eliminating the first issue that have been addressed above in this essay of
communication and collaborating problem, it can be seen that the management uses various
and the best suited communication technologies that are available in the market for
facilitating effective and efficient communication with the team members and seniors as
well as other people (Mazikana, 2022). There are various different sources that are available
in the market such as Slack, Zoom, Microsoft teams and many more are great examples for
eliminating the problems and issues that are there because of ineffective communication .
The team leader needs to focus on organizing and having regular meetings and conferences
for making sure that each and every employee is operating at same pace and is also
understanding their messages properly. The team leaders or the management of the company
needs to maintain an open-door policy for easy approaching of all the team members and
other people engaged with the operations and functions. This approaching is related with
asking questions along with any other queries that are related with their working functions
or role in the company. The team members or the person having knowledge will then
readdress or solve all these various issues and queries of the juniors or the people that have
questioned them. These meetings and conferences is the most effective remedy that is
suggested as there is always a face to face conversation that is going on there in between the
people present in these meetings and conferences (Mittal and Raghuvaran, 2021). This
solution will be ensuring and result in effective communication and also in the proper
aligning of functions of the organization as well as in the smooth running of everything.
Solution 2
The solution that is being offered for reducing or eliminating the various distractions that are
being there in the life of an individual who is working at home is that the person needs to find a
quiet and alone spending space or area in home (Mohanty, 2021). This quiet and alone sitting
arena will help the individual in doing the working job effectively and also in the removing of all
distractions that are present there at home. That person working at home can even close the door
of the room or of the area that he is using for working. This will result in low or uninterrupted
distractions in the working. That individual can even ask for silence from the people in that
house or co-inhabitants that they are not going to interrupt or distract in the working hours or

time period. The people can only distract that person in case of emergency or during some
important work (Zhukov, 2019). This will help in reducing and even in the elimination of the
issue that has been addressed above.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above mentioned essay that skills are important in life of an
individual because of the role they play in one’s life. These skills help and guides them in
understanding the ideas, views, thoughts, information and other relevant things in right context
without any confusion or misconception. There are various issues, challenges or problems that
are being faced by an individual during working at home. In this above mentioned essay, there is
a discussion done that is related with the various problems. The issues addressed in this easy is
that of ineffective communication and collaboration, the other one is of the various distractions
that are being faced by an individual at home during working. This essay also includes the
solutions that are being provided for the above mentioned two issues. It is important to solve all
of these issues with the help of the managing team of the organisation. It is necessary to
understand these issues and try to avoid them or by eliminating them as they hinder the working
of an individual in job.
