Skills or capability define as an individual ability which is used by them in order to
perform their work in an effective manner with favourable results. Every person have unique and
innovative skills within them which assist them in gaining experience at both personal as well as
professional life. In the context of health & social care industry, every individual require various
sort of skills in order to get employment. These skills consist of communication, time and team
management, confidence, ethics related to work and many more. It is a written report which
consist of two main tasks. In first section, a reflection is giving on self learning process are
going to be discussed with the help of Kolb's learning cycle. With the help of this, strengths as
well as qualities are going to be examined & reflection is giving on the personal development.
On the other hand, in context of second section, two stressors associated with the health care
managers has been determined & for this recommendation are giving on various coping
strategies in an effective manner.

for performing their business such as confidence level, communication, team and time
management skills, stress management, problem solving and so on. These are the skills which
will help an individual person in order to gain employment opportunities at the marketplace.
This is a reflection section which is mainly based on my self learning experience while i
am going through the whole model. For this, Kolb's learning cycle is going to be used by me so
that the whole learning will be done in a systematic manner. It is a model which includes four
stages such as reflective observation, concrete learning, active experimentation as well as
abstract conceptualization. With the assistance of executing all the four stages in an effective

which is address by an individual person of similar experience. Herein, I am a student where my
mentor allotted a project to me which is named as 'Skills for Learning in Care'. It is the first time
where I got such kind of project and as a result I don’t have any sort of experience and
knowledge related to this. My confidence level goes down as various types of questions arise in
my brain that how will I complete this whole portfolio in a favourable way. This affects my
overall morale as i have no idea about the project and its element. Later, I communicated with
the professor along with my class mates who help me in this project. My tutor guided me and
tell me about different sorts of skills which are needed by individuals in order to gain
employment opportunities. Along with this, it is also required to apply those skills in a positive
manner within the practitioner context. By understanding all these new skills which have been
taught by my tutor creates different sort of questions in my mind.
It has also been learned by me that there are various types of core skills which is quite
essential in order to become a health care practitioner some of these skills include numerical,
English, digital as well as employability skills. Apart from this, it has also been learned by me
that team work and time management is essential for a health care professional so that they can
perform all their work effectively.
