INTRODUCTION
A skills audit can be understood as a systematic assessment in order to identify the gaps
of skills and knowledge of an individual. It is a reflective process which should provide definite
mark of existing and developing competencies that requires training and development. It
signifies two sides that is what the individual has and what he actually needs to develop. Skills
are very essential in any field for the development of a person. It includes several things to learn
which is helpful to growth and development in the career of an individual (Al-Haqan, A. and
Et.al., 2021). While on the other side personal development planning defines a process in which
an action plan has created which is based on values, goals setting, awareness, reflection as well
as planning in order to develop a person in the context of career, relationship, education or for
self-improvement. These plans are also required for the employee resume. This report is based
on audit and evaluation of essential skills which are identifies in me and model of reflection
which facilitates a learning process of a specific skill. It also defines a personal development
planning and research for a person as well as personal development plan.
TASK 1
Skills audit and its evaluation
To develop my career in marketing and beauty industry I have pursued the specific
course of action. This course of action facilitates me in order to increase my knowledge and
development skills which will be very helpful in my career and develop myself. I have learnt
several activities and assessments during this course of action which facilitates me to grow in my
skills. I develop my skills in order to present myself in a bunch of individuals that helps to build
my confidence level and develop my knowledge which is related to that field. I have realized that
in order to present myself or to develop in my career there are three important skills which I
grow during this course.
Decision making skills: As I pursued my learning course in marketing field there are
several tasks which assigned to me in order to build my skills how to behave and work in
a group. It is essential to take many significant decisions in order to manage the group in
an effective manner which facilitates advantages to both me as well as my group. I also
acknowledged my group member’s opinion in decision making which facilities to take
productive decisions for the task. This assists me to learn and understand the value of
other individual thoughts as well as grow essential skills which is required in my
decision- making. Also in one of my activity in beauty industry I have learnt to better
manage the several task which facilitates to make proper decision.
Time management skills: I have taught that time management skills are very important
in order to manage time and which facilitates an individual to perform better in their
activities on a given deadline (Avdeeva, E. and Et.al., 2019). I required to develop time
management skills in both the fields that is marketing and beauty. It helps me to serve
better to the customers in both the areas. This includes many assessments and projects
which require to be completed on a given deadline. I have learnt that how to prioritize
task into smaller sections and provide a reasonable time in each and every activity that

thoughts and ideas from one person to another. It is very significant to understand the
importance of proper and effective communication as well as learn to communicate with

develop my skills in order to communicate with my colleagues and other group members
as well as my teachers and other senior authorities in order to take support in my
activities. It was very helpful for me to understand my problem in communication so that
I took proper solution.
Gibb’s Model of reflection
Gibb’s reflective cycle or Gibb’s model of reflection was introduced in 1988 by Graham
Gibbs which facilitates a proper structure to learning from experiences. It provides proper
framework for investigating experiences through which an individual will understand better but
if they do not do so they will not be able to think in a conscious way which will be difficult for
them to learn anything. It facilitates an individual to reflect the experiences of an individual
which will help them to learn in any situation. This model of reflection facilitates me to

Et.al., 2019). I observed that being a leader I was better communicate with my group members as
well as my other senior authorities with the boosted confidence level. I also identifies that I have
changed lots of things in me in a positive way. Before becoming a leader I was so afraid and
thought that I will not be able to manage all such stuff in my work. I also talked to my senior
authorities and my teachers about my issues but they sometimes ignored about that. So that I
have decided to manage whole things according to my own expert knowledge.
Evaluation: It has been evaluated from my experiences that by taking participation in this task I
have experienced lot of positive changes in me and I was able to understand and communicate
with other individuals in a very proper way. The task which are assigned to me to manage and
handle all the activities as a leader I have found to handle all the stuff in a very effective way.
The task which are assigned to me needs a proper communication with lots of people in which I
communicate to my teachers, senior authorities, my teammates, group members and many more.
When I decided to communicate in a polite way I got effective and required information about
the project and task. Along with this I have also developed proper communication skills which
will help me to get the proper understanding of message so that I can be better convey it to the
next receiver. Somehow it also impacts negatively with some of my skills such as organising and
planning because the communication sometimes takes lots of time due to which I was not able to
get a proper information on my topic. Overall the project was very well I have learnt to
communicate better and in effective manner. I also deal with as a mediator between my seniors,
teachers and my team members.
Conclusions: It has been concluded from the evaluation is that I have growth and develop my
communication skills very effectively which will assist me in my future projects. I faced lot of
challenges in my task in order to enhance my communication skills and other skills with the help
of this course (Lewis, P. A., 2019). If I'm going to face the similar situation in my upcoming
future I have that much confidence level which will be very helpful and I am going to utilize
various skills exclusively communication skills in order to handle my group tasks. Also I
identified that somehow I have also develop my leadership skills which will be e more effective
and capable to manage these type of situations in my near future.

to work on those skills with their personal development plan so that it will provide a new
direction and new move to their lives. Personal development of a person may required to conduct
research on himself just to comprehend their skills and behavior (Verhoeven, J. C., Heerwegh, D.
and De Wit, K., 2020). So that it will be helpful to him to analyze his numerous skills which are
already exist in them and worked on those skills which are required for his career. It can be also
understood as an action plan which can be develop by an individual to work on his skills for their
better growth and development towards his career. Research on personal development also
understood as a research on skills of an individual that should be worked on them in several
actions. It is imperative for an individual before framing a plan for his personal development to
conduct a required research on his skills and knowledge which already they have and they need
in future to accomplish their personal and corporate objectives. As I want to develop my career
in marketing and beauty industry I have searched for many courses at the same time. All such
courses offered me to develop the skills in me such as communication skills, decision making
skills and time management skills but on the other hand when I do my personal research I
realized that it is very important to develop more skills in me in order to get success in my
career. I also observed that I should work on my communication skills more especially on
written skills so that I will be able to write several reports to manage in my corporate (O'Keeffe,
M. and Et.al., 2020). I should also improve problem solving skills and discipline skills which are
