INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the key assets of effective learning, development and success in the
academic life and it further impact the professional career of the students. These are the sates of
qualities and abilities which benefits the academic performance and pursuit. Such as in the
academic research, report writing, learning and presentation. These skills are communication,
time management, problem solving etc. in context to the continuous development and
improvement of the students academic life along with these skills, one of the most important
activities and action plan is personal and provisional development plan. Which helps to analyses
the skills strengths and weakness along with the identification of different methods of skills
development goal achievement. In this report personal and professional development plan
different aspects and method's are evaluated along with analysis of different terms and level of
the goals.
TASK 1
Concept of personal and professional development plan
Personal and professional development is one of the most essential process or method
with in the application of which individual can engage themselves and work in the process of self
skills, experiences, learning and development. This is the crucial strategy of professional and
academic career development, with in the aid of which student can get the career opportunities.
So in context to the effective personal and professional development with the improvement of
essential skills , PPD plan play very important role. In context to the academics this PPD plan
contribute to the achievement of competitive advantages and growth.
There are the different types and level of goals which should be identified in order to
manage effective PPD plan, such as short, mid and long term goal.
Academic related short term goals and their three examples
In context to the academic life short term goals are the objective with short expectation,
which frame between the short time frame or period. This types of goals are having the short
duration for accomplishment such as 5 to 6 months.

of student development and achievement of the long term goals of the academic life. This take
bit longer time then short term goal, this take approx one year to achieve and without the
accomplishment of short term goal individual can not reach into this step. This contribute to the
important skills and experience development of the student which helps to meet comparative
advantages.
Examples of the mid term goals

ï‚· Innovative skills and out of the box thinking skills development in order to become best
performer of the academic year.
ï‚· Achievement of the good results in various academic assessment through the

Long term goals and three examples
Long term goals require the effective planing and initial steps of development such as
short and mid term goals, because there are various skills which require to be develop in the
initial stages of the academics and then apply in the long term goal achievement. This types of
goals are involving the time period of 5 to 6 years and related to the students career goals. This
basically focus on the development of professional skills.
