Hello! My name is Stephen Cohen. It is a pleasure to connect you. I am applying for a
graduate program in your company in which I can offer an all-round support in handling of
the everyday business operations to the external customers and managers such as customer
service, networking and administration, desktop administration, operational management,
application management, stakeholder management and other troubleshooting. With time I
have developed myself to develop the skills in procurement activities, process improvement,
records management, communicating ideas with confidence, vendor engagement, critical
thinking and data analysis.
I have the capability to indulge in effective communication with the business contacts
along with the team members whenever I have worked in the six member team scenario. For
example, in the years I worked in Microsoft I have experience in working with a team where
three members were from Sierra Leone, Brazil and Russia. All of these team members had
different understanding of tasks as they had different cultural background with different
points of view.
 Leadership skills: I played the leadership role completed the project of developing a
new software we built. In this particular scenario the staff from Russia wanted the
software to have the capabilities to be only supported by the android OS but the
Brazilian staff argued that this should be supported in all types of operating system of
phones. This created such a huge problem that the team members from Russia wanted
to go out of the team. I was the leader of that team therefore I followed the method of
cross cultural leadership. I made the Russian staff understand that if we develop the
program for all types of users we will be able to get more market revenue and
consumer support. This made him understand the point and this issues was resolved
properly.

 Desire to work in Defence: when I was working in Cisco, I was in charge of the cisco
routers and switches. Suddenly a customer review on one particular batch came that
their products were giving trouble. I immediately took that note and review the
process of portion of those particular switches and routers. The result came out that
the production house was using defective parts in the process in order to sell the
products in less price. I reported this to the higher authority and the problem was
resolved.
 Supports productive working relationships: in have an experience in working in cisco.
I had entered the company in a situation when the employees were in extreme
confusion due to management change. Nobody was willing the change. I arranged a
staff meeting and pointed out why this change is necessary. This made the staffs
understand the situation and found out how they can adapt with the situation.
 Written communication skills: I am a proactive problem solver and a quick learner. I
keep myself updated with the changing nature of information technology used in the
companies by constantly improving my learning process. At one point of time, when I
was placed in a company as a desktop administration, an issues of data breech took
place. Someone had taken the advantage of network administration process and
shared all the personal details of the customers to the other organizations and our
customers were being harassed over phone. I was customer services manager in IT. I
tracked the entire process and prevented the data leeching process. Then I gave a
proper declaration to the customers in a written method which disclosed my written
communication skills. This solved this issue gradually.
 Project management: In VMware, I was designated as the project manager related to
Consolidation of physical servers project. Here had to manage the entire team of IT
assistants among which some of them were quite incompetent. This would have

affected the project in a negative way so I first point out what other skills they had
and transferred them to other departments for other projects.
 Teamwork skills: initially when I used to work in Microsoft, I was a mere team
member for managing Amazon Web Services. This team was highly competent and I
did not have such compatibility in working in team. I therefore used the process of
learning and following videos focusing on the teamwork skills and overcame this
hurdle.
 Analytical and conceptual skills: while working in Ford Performance Club ACT in the
project for the development of Android app, I found performance gap in the app. With
my analytical skill, I analyzed the particular points which needed to be changed and
resolved the issue.
 Stakeholder and client relationships: while working as customer service assistant in
the health and safety programs, I faced an issue where a client asked for help to
resolve issues in LANs and WANs. I with ensuring the organizational efficacy and
value by generating and developing relationships with the internal and external
stakeholders and supporting the business by providing exceptional service within
cooperate constrains.
 Organizational contribution: despite the fact in every company I have worked had a
particular time frame within which I was expected to complete my job and leave but
to support the growth of my company, I took extra initiative like worked over time.
I have the experience of working part time or full time in the business companies as IT
service management customer care management and a particular knowledge in working for
occupational health and safety. I have academic knowledge of Bachelor of Information
Technology from University of Canberra and Diploma of Networking from Holmesglen

Institute of technology. Along with this, I have completed course like Certificate III in
Business Management from Ashley Institute of Training. All these experience have given me
such an energy boost and I feel motivated to take responsibilities to guild my organization.
Based on my academic knowledge and in hand experience, I want to serve as an assistant in
IT projects. I aim to contribute my knowledge at its best so that the organization can reach the
