INTRODUCTION
Developing skills for professional practices is defined as procedure of improving
competences for which an individual conduct a lot of attempts and practices, which is quite
beneficial and useful for them. Skill development provides varied benefits to candidate in term of
increasing their productivity, performance and efficiency level even better than last few years. It
gives them power to achieve personal and professional goals and also strengthen in term of
obtaining desire outcomes. It helps to develop those skills that individual person utilized to
conduct professional activities in effective and systematic manner. The current assignment will
explain self-reflection based on analysis of skills development needs that providing insights into
problems relating to entire process. Furthermore, it will justify continuous personal and
professional development planning on the basis of areas which need to improve by applying
suitable methods, tactics and techniques in term of developing needed skills.

Reflective statement based on analysis of my skills development needs, including insights into
problems related to overall process
It is quite important for me to conduct self-assessment in appropriate and systematic
manner, for which I have to choose specific model or framework that help to write down my own
reflection based on skill development needs (Pitts, 2021). Here, I had utilized Gibbs reflective
concept that has been especially developed to support in the context of writing reflective
statement.
By referring to chosen model, I want to describe my feelings and personal experience
about developing decision making skill, which made me capable to take better judgement and
also support to achieve aims and objectives that I had sets while performing at current stage. I
want to define the benefits of developing decision making benefits that I had gain. It made me
stronger in term of choosing available methods and ways that help to achieve those skills which I
am lacking and also specific one which contribute to move my career forward in form of next
level. Along with developing above, I had attempts to develop more competences for which I
take initiative to develop action plan. I want to achieve my aims, which play vital role in success
and growth of my personal as well as professional career. I work hard to obtain current and in the

future advantages that requiring set of certain skills, in which some I had like personal
development and rest of them I not have, which made me weaker person. I want to describe my
skill and that is recognizing, for example, I am capable to recognize the needs and expectations
of individual person, which is an amazing competence that may people does not have.
I am capable to communicate and coordinate with other people that recently work with
me and I will perform with other when I reach at next level or move forward in my career,
whether it is personal or professional extent. Along with above skills discussion, I want to share
my experience that I have gained during their module in term of developing skill such as
managing conflict that bring amazing edge for me as it helps to grow my career in unexpected
manner. In recent time, this competence makes me capable to build a team of skilled candidate
who work with me in the future productively without creating any issues, because I am able to
solve each before emerging and affecting their as well as my performance negatively.
By referring to Gibbs reflective, I want to define my feelings and initial gut reaction,
which gives confidence to me. Before conducting any activity, I feel really excited and happy, as
I think that skill development is an easy process and provide outcomes within short duration that
is a great thing. But my feelings and assumptions may change, when I take action to analyze my
current skill and other in which I am not possess appropriate knowledge, which in the future
bring barriers in my professional along with personal career progress. My happiness and
excitement vanish ways when I realize that there are varied skilled I need to improve and
develop as well, which present as my current weaknesses. I felt nervous and confuse because of
varied options in term of methods that I will utilize to overcome the negative impact of lacking
areas and to develop each area, which is quite important and beneficial as well.
While taking initiatives to develop certain skills I am losing my confidence level and
nervous as well because of lack of analysis skill, which unable me to do and conduct practice
related to it. Just because of development, decision making, communication and other
competences I feel good as it give me chance to achieve short and medium term goals, but still I
am unable to achieve long term aims and move forward, for which set of highly effective skills
requiring. The thing that make me comfortable and give confidence to work productively is my
skills which I have developed during this module and that are decision making and conflict

I want to describe my evaluation, which define what goes good and what I need to
improve because it put negative impact on my career growth and success in recent time and may
bring barriers in process of moving forward. The best thing during this module that made me
capable to felt good are development of decision making, effective communication and
development as well as interpersonal skills. Each skill fosters my career and enable me to move
forward where success opportunities are available and in return provide unexpected benefits to
me. For example, effective interaction competence allows me to perform in a team where each
member attempts to achieve common aim and objective, which is essential as it help to gain
desire outcomes.
Along with this, there are sudden factors occur in term of weaknesses that put negative
affect on by growth. For example, I am not posing great knowledge about time management skill
that create issues related to ways in the context of moving forward. I am also not having better
understanding about data analysis, problem solving, time management and ICTs skill, which I
need to improve as fast as possible. I will take better decision to overcome each weakness and
develop competence. It helps to give more confidence to me and power to achieve in the future
aims whether it is small or long that relate to personal and professional life. When I will develop
lacking skill or areas, I feel much happy. Overall, without enhancing or developing above skills I
will not be able to achieve my short, long and mid-term goals. These competencies are my
weaknesses which I have to overcome in short duration, because these are essential for my
growth.
In regard to lacking areas, I will take better action and chose the best approaches that has
been chose by those people who want to improve skill which I need to develop for grabbing
success and moving forward. With existing skill, I feel better but due to lack of other I not
feeling good as I want to grow more and reach at top level just like other individual reached by
improving lacking areas and developing new competences in effective manner by using suitable
and relevant techniques. In term of decision, I prefer to develop action plan and utilize in term of
continuous personal and professional development.

From over analysis, it has been determined that along with strengths I also had some
weaknesses, which need strategic action and practical approaches to improve. It has been
identified that I had improved decision making, communication and development competences,
which is not enough to move forward as I also need to develop ICTs, problem solving, data
analysis and time management as well as self-management capabilities. From overall discussion
and description, I had analyzed areas where I need to focus more than the other things.
It refers to set of strategies, methods, actions and techniques that individual person may
use to overcome their weaknesses. As action plan, I take initiative to develop personal
development plan (PDP), in which I will chose each strategy and method according to
improvement area and define timeframe. Through this kind of action, I will successfully and
effectively move forward. It helps me a lot and enable to grab more career growth chances. By
developing PDP I will overcome my weaknesses. It is one of the best and most effective
decisions that have been taken by many individuals to achieve set goals and objectives whether it
relate to personal & professional life. I will achieve each aim through action plan under which I
will use relevant approach and technique.
Priorities for skill development with clear skill areas determined to concentrate on moving
forward-
I had given priority to those skills which enable me to move forward and capable to reach
at next level, where success and growth opportunities accessible in bulk. It includes, effective
problem solving skills that help to solve each issue in appropriate manner. In additional to this, in
order to move forward I prioritize time management and data analysis as key skills, which
included in category of academic and employment competences. I also give priority to ICTs skill
development.

The main reason behind choosing development of each skill is to move forward, which is
important and beneficial for me. I chose ICTs skill development because it enables individual
person to perform with those advanced technologies that are currently using and in demand for
