1. INTRODUCTION
Skills refer to the ability as well as capacity that is acquired by systematic and
deliberate efforts to carry out the complex activities in effective way. Thus, it is important
for every individual to develop their skills so that they can easily attain their set goals
and objectives and at the same time also enhance their personal development ( Coffey,
2014). Mainly, it is an ability to do something best which may developed through training
and experience as well. Present report is based on development of the skills through
Teenage Cancer Research. This study is related with the Fundraising. Project also
includes contribution of individual and team performance. Along with this, Honey &
Mumford model is also mentioned in this report which help in determining the
experience in the team project.
2. AUDIT AND EVALUATION OF KEY SKILLS
2.1 Evaluate the developing skills
It is important for every individual to evaluate as well as develop their skills to
handle all the activities in effective way. With the help of this, they can easily attain their
targets. In context of Teenage Cancer research, I am member of this team that prepare
a plan for Fundraising. For this, we thought to sell pens. In the planning process,
number of skills are required to make effective plan. It will help the team to execute
activities in appropriate way. As there are some skills that can be develop and evaluate
through formative exercise:
Teamwork: It is one of the important skill which required in the planning process.
By this, all the team members can easily perform their task and also motivate each
other to do best for fundraising. For attaining better success, it is vital for me and my
team members to make better coordination among team members. This will contribute
in making able to effectively perform task. For example, to sell the pens, team members
prepare a plan to sell pens in which all the members are perform their task in a team
and also tries to influence customers to buy its products.. It help me in improving team
working skills.
Communication: This type of skill also play vital role in any kind of activities and
planning. By this, individual can easily share their views and opinion with each other.

This skill help me in influencing other at the time of selling pens to the people (Arnold
and Boggs, 2015). For attaining the positive results, it is my responsibility to interact
with the people and also convenience them to buy their pens so that they can easily
raise their funds for Teenage Cancer Research. With the assistance of this, me and my
team members can easily attain our set goals and objectives in an appropriate time
frame.
Problem solving: It is a potential skill set that are very necessary for obtaining
objectives and goals (Foss, 2017). In such case, the necessary skill set is problem
solving that arise according to time and experience and many other behavioural aspects
are also very necessary such as patience, trustworthy, understanding are skills set that
require during problem solution. In that scenario candidates solve different problems
while coordinating different team members in adverse situations. In problem solving it
has to necessary to evaluate each and every aspect of problem.
Time management: It is very important aspect in which all works and
proceedings should be achieved in proper time frame because delay in these activities
prove harmful for any kind of event and planning as well. In time management there
should proper distribution of powers and responsibilities among team and their
members. Moreover understand their strengths and weaknesses that helps in
understand their key areas. With the assistance of this, I can easily raise the fund for
supporting the Teenage Cancer. In context of raising fund, it is important for me to set
all the activities on the basis of specific time. This will help in improving overall
performance and at the same time also assist me to attain set goals and objectives in
allotted time frame.
2.2 Contribution of individual and team performance
It is important for team and individual to perform their best to attain set goals and
objectives of particular task and activities. For this, all the team members needs to build
better coordination so that all the task will be done in appropriate manner. In this
context, Teenage Cancer research helped me improving my current skills and abilities.
With the assistance of this, me and my team members can easily perform the task in
most effective way. In this, I contribute a lot to raise the fund for Teenage Caner
research in which I do various things like I prepare an effective plan to formulate

activities which may lead in improving the chances of attaining set targets and at the
same time also influence people to take participate in the research. When we sell pens,
me and my team members are build coordination among all the workers with the aim of
successfully operating research activities (Cottrell, 2015). In this, individual and team
communicate with each other and make effective ways to sell the pens like by showing
videos related with the Teenage Cancer, interact with people to motivate and encourage
them to take participate in the research. By this we can easily raise the fund.
On the other side, we also face various issues at the time of research like
sometime people are not much interested to communicate with team and me as well. It
create negative impact on the planning activities. For reducing the chances of negative
impact, we needs to make people more comfortable to listen our concept and target
(Fattah, 2015). In this effective communication skill, team building skill, time
management skill, problem solving skill and many more are required. With the
assistance of this, all the research activities of Teenage Cancer can be done in proper
manner. All these are skills are help in raising the fund and at the same time also make
overall skills of individual and team is strong. By this they can easily handle all the
situation and activities in systematic way.
Apart from this, team performance is also an important aspect for attaining
common goals and objectives. In this all the team members are responsible for
developing as well as building better coordination among each other at the time of
preparing the plan for raising the fund for Teenage Cancer research. For this, team is
also responsible for developing influencing other people to perform their best through
which they can easily enhance overall efficiency level of the team members. This will
directly contribute in attaining set targets in appropriate time frame. The main
contribution of team is share positive relation with each other in which they
communicate to reduce the chances of arising any kind of issues and disputes among
team members.
Furthermore, individual performance is also played vital role in establishing
positive and favourable outcomes that may directly contribute in attaining set goals and
objectives. In context of Fundraising, I needs to influence as well as encourage my team

members to perform their best and also tries to invite number of people to buy pens.
This will contribute in increasing the finds for Teenage Cancer research.
2.3 Development with specific example and evidence
Development of skills is important for every individual to perform their task in
effective way. Mainly, it is defined as the skills gap of person which make them able to
effectively execute all the activities. This will contribute in attaining set goals and
objectives in appropriate time frame. In addition of this, skill development may help
individual to analyse their activities through which they can easily maintain their
performance. In this context, communication skill, time management, problem solving,
teamwork and many more are the important skill that may help individual to easily attain
their set goals and objectives (Skye and et. al., 2014). All these are effective for
developing their growth level.
In addition of this, communication is also important for selling pens in order to
raise the funds for Teenage Cancer. By using this, I can easily motivate and encourage
people to buy its products and services. Along with this,taking participate in seminar and
conferences is also beneficial for me to improving my abilities. By this I can easily
handle all the activities of the research in effective way. With the assistance of this, I
can easily handle the situation and issues that arise at the time of preparing plans
related with the Teenager Cancer research program. Furthermore, team work skills is
also play as vital role in any kind of activities. In this, all the team members are
responsible for execute their task together. By this, team can easily attain their desired
goals and objectives (Riley, 2015). Along with this, teamwork is also refers to the
cooperation among all the workers who are working in a team on particular task. In a
group, I build better coordination with team members by interacting and communicating.
With the assistance of this, all the activities can be done in successful manner. Thus, it
can be stated that team working skills is also developed after Teenage Cancer
Research. Through this, positive and healthy relation also may developed in order to
increase sell of the pens.

Honey and Mumford learning style:

Honey and Mumford learning style is consider as an important model which help
individuals to improve their learning. With the help of this, individual can easily improve
their learning and skills as well. In addition of this, individual can easily make their skills
strong and effective. As it includes four style that may help individual and team to
execute all the activities with the aim of attaining all the set targets.
Activists: These type of person are learn by doing something. They have ability
to deal with activities in order to learn something. With the assistance of this, individual
and team can be develop their skills in appropriate way (HONEY AND MUMFORD
LEARNING STYLES, 2017). Along with this, it includes problem solving, brainstorming,
puzzles, group discussion, competition and many more. All these are help in developing
the skills and knowledge of individual in effective way.
Theorists: These type of learner required models and ideas to effectively
participate in the process of learning. By this, they can easily improve their skills and
abilities. For example, drawing new data and hypothesis is also a way in which
individual to analyse their skills and abilities. Mainly, it includes models, stories, quotes,
background information and many more. All these are contribute in developing skills
and abilities of individual and team members as well.
Pragmatists: Under this learning, these type of people are focus on the learning
into real world. They also tries to develop new ideas with the aim of converting into
action. For this I can evaluate my learning activities which contribute in attaining positive
outcomes. Mainly, it includes various activities such as case studies, problem solving,
time to think to learning in reality, discussion and many more. With the assistance of
this, I can easily develop my skills and abilities to perform all kind of activities.
Reflectors: These type of people are learn thinking about the specific situation.
Along with this, they also learn by standing back and analyse whole experience from
various perspectives. By this, individual can easily take effective decision and
conclusion. It may includes various activities such as self analysis, observing activities,
taking feedback from others, interviews and many more. All these are effective for
developing my skills and abilities in most effective way.
In context of Teenage Cancer research program, me and my team member
communicate with people related with the activities in order to raise fund. In this, I also

face issues at the time of influencing people because some people are not ready to
listen their message. This is big challenge for me and my team members.
Along with this, Teenage Cancer Research is help me in improving my skills and
knowledge towards the specific activities. In this, I easily communicate with other
person and share my point of views to influence them. On the other side, sometime my
team members are fail in establishing coordination with another team members. It
create issues among all the members at the time of selling pens for raising funds.
2.5 Qualitative and quantitative evidence
It is an important for every individual to develop their skills and enhances future
opportunities. This can be attained through Qualitative and Quantitative evidence.
These component assists an individual to perform their projects efficiently and
effectively (Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). In this, Qualitative evidence is a statistical or
numerical information which is derived through interviews, surveys, etc. In context of
Teenage Cancer Research, it is essential for an individual to develop its skills to
accomplish their tasks in time. It provides clear picture and deeper information related to
projects and case studies. In this regard, an individual can develop its skills through
feedbacks from their peers, interviews, etc. According to me, it is essential for me and
my team members to do surveys which helps us to learn new things and perform
projects easily.
 Feedback from peers: It is one of the important aspect through which me and
my team members can easily analyse their skills and abilities. For this, I can
communicate with the peers with the aim of determining the actual performance
of the team members. This will directly contribute in improving enhancing skills
that help me in handling Teenage Cancer research program.
 Surveys: The another component of qualitative evidence is surveys. In order to
enhance experience and opportunities one should do surveys. By this, we can
simply achieve our goals in allotted time frame. In addition of this, survey help
me in understanding another person point of view towards my overall skills and
performance as well. It help in improving the abilities to make as well as develop
skills.

3. CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that skills are the
important aspect for every individual to attain their set targets in appropriate way. Thus,
it is vital for them to improve their skills by taking participate in learning activities. That
will help them in improving their skills and abilities. With the help of this, individual can
easily achieve success. In addition of this, communication skill, team working skills,
problem solving skills and time management skills are the important that help team and
individuals to effectively execute the research activities with the aim of raising the fund
for Teenage Cancer. By using all these team can easily improve their skills and abilities
to perform their best. Apart from this, Honey & Mumford is also an effective model that
may contribute in increasing learning of the individual and team performance as well.
