INTRODUCTION
It is crucial for students to develop effective study skills in order to ensure that they excel in their
academic journey. Study skills refer to the wide range of skills which help students in organizing
and understanding new information along with completing academic assessments in timely
manner. Study skills play an important role in helping students gain the best experience during
their academic life which also provides assistance in professional life of students (Shilling,
Ferguson and Joseph, 2020). The present report describes a range of study skills which include
time management skills, teamwork skills and presentation skills. The meaning and significance
of each of the study skills is also provided in this report. In addition to this a reflection on these
skills is provided in the report along with actions taken for improvements in these skills.
SKILL ANALYSIS
Time Management skills
Meaning: Time management skills refers to the skill of an individual which has a capability to
plan the available time and control the amount of time a person spends over the specific task in
order to work effectively within the time frame.
Importance: Good time management skills are really important for the students as they required
prioritising their tasks so that they can complete their school work and assignments on time. The
students have to deal with multiple subjects, assignments and extracurricular activities therefore
good time management skills help them in keeping their academics and extracurricular activities
on track that reduces their stress and make them focus over their studies, personal growth and
fun time (Santoso and et. al., 2021).
Reflection and Improvement: I feel I have moderate time management skills as during my
regular days I am able to manage effectively my academics and extracurricular activities but
during my exams I get puzzle due to heavy load of work and I am not able to manage the time
effectively to complete my course on time. Therefore to improve my skills I am planning time
table with the time based targets, I also set my goals and start my preparation earlier.

Team working skills
Meaning: The team working skills refers to ability or a quality to work and communicate with
others collaboratively during the projects, team tasks etc. Team working skills include effective
communication, responsibility, honesty and active listening between the members of a group.
Importance: Team working skills are the valuable skills as it makes easier for students to
achieve goals and academic targets effectively as a team. Team working skills are important for
students as by this they learn how work collaboratively and friendly with others and to take
responsibility for their work (Picard and et. al., 2021). Working in a team is essential part of
academic course as by these students learn to build relationship and leadership skills which will
help them in their working career.
Reflection and Improvement: I feel I have good team working skills as I am able to work
effectively with others in a team projects and also I am good as team leader to direct the others
regarding the direction of work. But as no one is perfect I am working on my project
management skills for enhancing my team working skills.
Presentation skills
Meaning: A presentation skill refers to the ability of delivering the informational, influencing
and engaging digital presentation to the audience with clear voice of tone (Cottrell, 2019).
Importance: In the current online study format the presentation skills are highly important for
the students as they are required to give their assessments and projects in the form of
presentation through online meeting for which creating a impactful, informative presentation is
important to get good grade and also presenting the presentation with good communication
skills, public speaking, body language, voice of tone is important to the students.
Reflection and Improvement: I feel I have poor presentation skills as I feel nervous will
presenting myself among large audience due to which my voice breaks and also my body
language become inappropriate. To improve this I practice daily in front of mirror to analyse my
body language the way of speaking (Balbay, 2020).

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is determined that study skills are set of valuable skills which
help students attain success in their academic journey. Time management skills, teamwork skills
and presentation skills are essential study skills which need to be gained by every student in
order to success in their educational field. Time management skills are vital as they help students
prioritize significant tasks and complete them in timely manner to gain time for personal growth
and participate in extra-curricular activities. Teamwork skill is essential as it helps develop
collaboration abilities to perform group tasks effectively. Presentation skills are crucial as they
enable students to make informative and appealing presentations easily. Students need to take
action in order to develop these study skills that academic tasks are completed in timely manner
with high quality.
