For my skyline simulation city, the public transport that I presumed to apply for the purpose of
making it more interactive and to reduce the congestion in the city includes the bus service and
the railways. These are the major public transport that would be working in the city for the public
welfare.
Articles were taken into consideration
I reviewed the article which is written by Amjed Al-Hameedawi, et. al., 2017, where he
suggested the selection of the optimum railway track and using the GIS technique is one of the
most important and best ways that helps in reducing the congestion in the country. The
identification of the railway route is considered to be having crucial element for the purpose of
improving the quality of public transport in the country. Here the problem of bridging the gap
between the determination of suitable location for the railways is considered. The selection of
site for the railway is considered to be having one of the most important determinants through
which the congestion can be reduced in the country. As it is seen in the city of Karbala the
congestion occurs due to the non-significant railway track (Al-Hameedawi Amjed, et. al., 2018).
In another article that I went through this was seen Alejandro Tirachini, et. al., 2014, the
interplay between the congestion and the crowd externalities for the design of the urban bus is
taken into consideration. here the different model and the frequency of the bus, as well as the
method through which congestion would be decreased, would be taken into consideration for this
purpose of study (Tirachini, et. al., 2014). Hence this helped the city in Australia to reduce the
amount of congestion and maximise the performance of public transport.
Findings in the issue
The issue of the congestion is similar to the issue that is found in my Skyline simulation city.
Here this article helped me in identifying the method through which the public congestion can be
changed. The problem that is founded in my simulation city is similar to the articles that have
been identified for this purpose.
