Thursday
How did your sleep time and quality affect your mood, behaviour, cognitive and motor skills that
day?
I had 8 hours long sleep, which I got after struggling with sleep fro sometime. The whole day I was in
a very unpleasant mood. I didn’t feel like interacting much with anyone in the day and was also not
paying much attention in the class. Though I did study for long hours this day which might have
affected my sleep quality.
Did you feel sleep deprived and, if so, what symptoms did you notice?
Initially, I did take some time to sleep but once I was asleep I had a sound sleep. During the day I felt
a little sleep deprived. By the time it was 9.30 I started feeling tired and wanted to get to bed as
soon as possible.
Were there any circumstances that may have contributed (either positively or negatively) to your
sleep quality?
I consumed a cup of coffee in the evening, which might have worked negatively to get the sleep on
time. Also I exercised in the previous evening, which might have kept me away from getting asleep
immediately at night as the muscles were not relaxed.
Friday
How did your sleep time and quality affect your mood, behaviour, cognitive and motor skills that
day?
I had 8.5 hours of sound sleep, which was sufficient to rejuvenate my body and mind. The whole day
I had a good mood and felt refreshed. I was cordial with everyone that I met and was also attentive
in the class. I studied for long hours this day without feeling sleepy. At home I gave a helping hand to
my mom and felt extra energy to last the entire day.
Did you feel sleep deprived and, if so, what symptoms did you notice?
I did not feel sleep deprived at all the whole and felt very energetic and relaxed instead. I also took 2
cups of coffee in the evening and exercised for 20 minutes during the afternoon which might have
helped me to sleep better.
Were there any circumstances that may have contributed (either positively or negatively) to your
sleep quality?
The fact that I had a long hours of sufficient sleep might have contributed to me feeling refreshed
the whole day.
Saturday
How did your sleep time and quality affect your mood, behaviour, cognitive and motor skills that
day?
I slept for very little, which is just 6 hours, but yet I slept immediately without any struggle. However,
I did wake up in between the night once but only for 2 minutes, and again fell asleep. In the daytime
I had a pleasant mood.
Did you feel sleep deprived and, if so, what symptoms did you notice?

In the morning I did not feel refreshed and this made me lethargic and sleep deprived the whole day.
I did not feel like doing any exercise during the day. In the day I also took a nap of 20 minutes to
catch up with the less sleeping hours that I got and also since I was feeling very lazy and low in
energy.
Were there any circumstances that may have contributed (either positively or negatively) to your
sleep quality?
I guess it was stress which kept me from having a long hours of sound sleep. Another issue which I
feel could have negatively impacted my sleep pattern would be the fact that there is a family issue
going on at the moment which kept me from getting long and sound sleep. Also before going to bed
the previous night I was watching TV, which might have contributed towards me being sleep
deprived.
