University IoT Project: Smart Application Development and Deployment

This project details the design and development of a smart application designed to detect excessive shock using accelerometer and orientation data from a phone sensor. The student utilized IBM Bluemix, a leading application development platform, leveraging IBM Node-RED and the Watson IoT Platform dashboard for implementation. The project involved configuring and deploying the application step-by-step, including setting up Node-RED, creating a dashboard in Watson IoT Platform, and addressing various challenges encountered during the process. The solution describes the creation of a sensor and flow, the insertion of IoT data into a Cloudant DB, and the creation of a virtual sensor within the Watson IoT platform. The project successfully demonstrates the development of an IoT smart application for shock detection, highlighting the capabilities of IBM's cloud-based tools and the analysis of sensor data.
