The Internet of Things has been effectively able to handle the different end systems with
providing a better access to the subnets of the data which are for the better development of the
digital devices (Centenaro, Vangelista, Zanella & Zorzi, 2016). The focus is on how IoT system
could be effective to design a Smart City vision with the aim of exploiting the advanced
communication technology and supporting the different types of the value-added services. They
are set for the services with a better administration set for the city and the citizens. The paper
focuses on enabling the technologies, protocols and the architecture which could be effective
with better technical solutions (Bresciani, Ferraris & Del Giudice, 2017). The IoT is able to
enable proper interaction with home appliances, cameras and the other sensors for monitoring,
displays and the vehicles. IoT will be able to foster the development of the different applications
which includes the use of the better amount of data which is from the new services provided to
the citizens. The home automation process along with mobile healthcare, intelligent early
management is effective for the management of traffic and to match with the identification of
solutions to satisfy the requirements. Here, this tends to reduce the operational costs for the
public administration. The urban IoT could bring benefits for the management and development
with optimization set under the transport and the parking, maintenance of the public areas etc.
Here, the different types of data are collected with the exploitation to work with the transparency
changes with handling the actions that relates to work on improving the awareness and how the
people are able to work over the services provided to the public. (Gaur, Scotney, Parr &
McClean, 2015).
The objective of the paper is also to focus on designing and properly handling the system of IoT.
This works with the different characteristics which are related to handling the adoption of the

same by the different government authorities. The approach is realized the win-win situations
with increasing the quality and enhancing the services that are offered to the citizens with
bringing an economic advantage for the city administration. The report will discuss the places
where IoT could be implemented like the smart parking, lighting, city energy consumptions. It
will include the control cameras, traffic lights which are effective to identify the energy
consumption source and optimize the behavior. The functionalities are to control the local power
production structures with smart parking focus on road sensors and the intelligent displays. The
automation and the security are an important application for IoT to handle the consumption of
energy with proper maintenance by controlling the parameters which tend to enhance the levels
of comfort of people with improved productivity. The major characteristics of urban IoT
infrastructure are set with the capability to integrate different technologies and work on
communication infrastructures to support the progressive evolution.
