Smart-city is the most lucrative technical advancement in the field of Advance network and
communication. The Smart city model is designed to provide all the comforts to living beings
from smart traffic control system to the smart houses. In this journal the importance of machine
learning in the network layer management of Internet of Things is given with the help of an
example such as Vehicular sensing network in which smart traffic control system is used, can be
stated like every vehicle which is running on the road is connected to the central node system
and with the help of Machine learning smart fuel efficient system and smart traffic management
system the traffic problems such as traffic jams and accidents can be reduced. The machine
learning is also an important technology for development in the field of Smart innovation for
cities. The cloud computing also plays an important part in the Smart city model because the data
related issues which is associated with the smart city model can only be solved with the help of
cloud as more number of devices are connected to the Internet of Things network the higher the
amount of data which needs to be managed. The network architecture is designed which helps in
controlling the daily network activities of the smart city model and also provide an easy
framework for security related issues with the help of smart monitoring of the city and power
management model help in power related issues of the city. Smart houses also an important part
in the smart city model as the controlling of all the electronic appliances can be done from smart
phone alone and security level of houses is also increases with the help of Internet of Things.
Description of Journal
The latest development in the field of communication, sensing and computing technologies gives
the path to greater opportunities for improvement in the field of information system. As Data is
the most important factor in today’s technical advancement and also plays an important role in
the smart city model so the security of this data is also an important factor that needs to be
looked upon. As cloud computing is the latest trend for data related issues because it provides the
access to the data from anywhere in the world and with the help of some cryptographic codes the
security of data is also increased but when private information is provided on Internet than the
risk factor is also increased. The machine to machine (M2M) network or commonly known as
Internet of Things in which machines use to interact with each other like for example let’s get

into brief discussion of smart home suppose a person forgot to turn off the lights and Air
conditioner system of his house than either that person has to get back to his house again to turn
the devices off but if the machine to machine network is in service than the person can easily
turn off the devices from his smart phone or the devices will get automatically off because they
will sense that the Human is not present around. With the help of recursive learning algorithm
the implementation process of smart city model can be tracked at each step of implementation
and the model can be deployed easily. Kullback-Liebler Divergence algorithm based on Shannon
entropy is also used for probability distribution while designing the framework of the smart city
model. The air pollution monitoring is also possible with the help of Internet of Things because
the data collected from different part of the cities is monitored regularly with the help of cloud
computing network. Self-driving car is the technology everyone is talking about but it is also
possible with the help of smart sensors which use to communicate with each other and
implement the changes automatically with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Several techniques
are used to manage the network intelligently such as urban environmental monitoring in which
for air pollution network is implemented with the help of low cost sensors which are based on
electrochemical network which is easily recyclable and eco-friendly. Smart energy systems also
play an important part in the smart city infrastructure because the energy is one of the essential
factors which are required for life nowadays.
Personal Opinion
The Smart city model is the implementation of technical development in the field of Networking
and communication system. The smart city model is something in which data of everything from
vehicles, homes, air pollution control, activity of Individuals is uploaded on the cloud and the
regular monitoring of that data is done. When every vehicle is connected to the network than the
rate of road accidents will decrease and the management of traffic system will also get improved
because it will automatically sense the presence of vehicles with higher frequencies and divert
the traffic accordingly. When every house is connected to the network or simply when every
house is smart house than the monitoring of daily living activities of people will become easy
and the wastage of electricity as well as water will be reduced because in smart homes when the
human is not present around than the electronics equipment will turn off automatically. Air
pollution control helps in controlling the quality check of the air and also gives the live status of

the pollution rate in the environment. As the transmission, distribution and generation of energy
should be designed properly, with the help of Smart energy system to implement the smart city
model in an efficient way. The problem that needed to be solved in the deployment of smart city
model is the security of data because as the large amount of data is on cloud it is possibility of
getting that data hacked and the privacy factor also comes into effect because the information
related to individual is also on the cloud which can be misused.
