In the following presentation two alternative interface
designs for the SMART Home Control pane is designed. The
objective of creating two interfaces design is to enhance the
creativity and abilities in designing constraints with the
various constraints. It also aim at justifying the designs
created and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of
the designs created and finding the best design suitable for
the situation.

Design 1
Design 1 has five screens which are as described below.
1 Home Screen
2 Bedroom
3 Lightning
4 Automation
5 Setting

Design 1 – Home Screen
Purpose – It is the first page which helps to find the overlook of whole
application.
Component – Various components which are displayed on the screen are name of
the application, back button, and different icons of different places in the room.
Explanation – It is the first page when the application is switched on which help
user to select the particular area for further settings.

Design 1 - Bedroom
Purpose – the purpose of this screen is for the setting of bedroom
Component – the components displayed in the screen are back button, sub
category (bedroom) and buttons for lights, security, lock And HVAC system
Explanation - with the help of this dis[play screen, user automate the setting of
bedroom and can further select the different system for setting

Design 1 - Lightning
Purpose – the purpose of this display is to provide with the setting options for lightning
Components – The various components displayed on the screen are back button, name of the
page (lightning), and different devices: table lamp, tube light, ceiling and night lamp and on/off
button for each devices.
Explanation – When lightning is selected from the bedroom page, this screen appears. With the
help of this page, user selects the device for which the user want to on or off the device with the
help of control panel just sitting at one place.

Design 1- Automation
Purpose - the purpose of the display is to used for the changing and maintaining the
temperature of the rooms
Components – the various components of the screen are back button , automation as well as its
sub category scheduling is displayed, it have two icons for setting temperature and time.
Explanation – the display shows that the screen is regarding the setting of temperature. When
bedroom is selected it give option for setting the temperature on particular time during the day
and night time.
