Introduction
DG World is the leading Autonomous company in the region that develops advanced products
and solution using the latest automation technology. The level of development has advanced
smart technology to robotic technology, all the way from a self-driving automobile to robotic
systems. DG world strives to advance their products with the help of the latest technology to
meet different needs and requirements of their clients. The on-going projects include the
developments of an autonomous boat and a bomb diffusing robot. Their field work includes tasks
in designing, creating models, programming, manufacturing, assembling mechanical and
electrical components and producing the final product. DG World was contracted to develop a
Smart Inspection Robot with remote control station to perform effective car inspections at the car
inspection centers. The objectives of this robot include a reduced a service time, very precise and
efficient without delays during inspection, satisfies the smart technology available today and
increases customer satisfaction. Therefore, my main tasks in this field were to create the 3D
CAD and CAM model for the parts I was involved in and then manufacture them using the CNC
milling machine and other operations

Q1. Participate in the design of mechanical engineering components and systems to satisfy
technical and non-technical constraints, as specified by the field supervisor or client
The design of the technical engineering components and system are as follows:
Manipulator: the manipulator tool is very much necessary in the designing of the robots
which states that the rotating or manipulating device which rotates or manipulates using
the instructions given by the users to the robots. For example like the human is having
the hand the robots are having the manipulators. The manipulator device manipulates the
instructions which are provided to the users in order to work and complete the different
assigned tasks by the different users.
Locomotion Device: the locomotion device acts as the strengthening device in the robots
just like the muscles in the human arms the robots are having the locomotion device
which provides them the power which has been provided to them by the different
connected motors. The locomotion device works as the main working component of the
robot.
Controller: the controller is the small device or system which controls the functionality
of the robots in order to perform the functionality the users uses the controllers in order
to control the robot and perform different task using the robots which are assigned to
them using the controllers. The controllers are responsible for the overall working of the
robot this system consists of the different sensors for establishing the connectivity
between the robots and controller this is a remote like device.
Sensors: the sensors are the smaller devices which is used to sense the different things in
the robot. The different types of sensors are been used in the robots in order to detect the
different think using the sensing technology. This is the most important component
which the robot might have for the completion of the different assigned tasks.

Q2. Identify real engineering problems, formulate them using appropriate models and methods,
and develop real solutions.
The real engineering problems are as follows:
New Materials and Fabrication Schemes: the latest and more effective materials have
been used in order to make the robotic machines more effective and efficient so that the
use of those devices should also be known by the users so it is difficult to train each and
every people in robotics.
Bio hybrid machines: the problems caused because the hybrid machines are not so much
effective and efficient in order to perform the tasks more effectively and efficiently.
Power and Energy: the lot of energy has been consumed by the robotic machineries in
order to perform the different task as desired by the users,
Q3. Cite specific examples of ethical and professional issues encountered during the field
experience
The example of the ethical and professional issues which are encountered during the field
experience is
Unemployment: Due to the use of the robotic machines there will be unemployment in
the different industries. The work of humans is been performed by the humans this is a
professional problem.
Inequality: the inequality problem arises due to the robots because each person has
assigned a different machine so whose machine will be more faster and more efficient
that person will achieve the targets on time.
Security: the security has been compromised because the robotic systems are not much
secure enough.
Q4. Outline the global, economic, environmental, or societal impact of the engineering activities
carried out during the field experience.
The global, economic, environmental, or societal impact of the engineering activities carried out
during the field experience is that globally the roots have been used in the industries as machines
for performing the manufacturing and production related task much faster and accurately.
Economically the robots are more economical than the humans for the businesses. The
environmental problems may arise sometimes due to the pollution caused by some of the robots.
The societal aspect about the robots is that they are used in reducing the human effort and time
and performs the same task more effectively and efficiently.

Q5. Discuss examples of life-long learning and professional development activities in the
workplace.
The example of the lifelong learning is that the world is changing more faster and new
technologies are also introduced rapidly so the latest technologies which are emerged should be
regularly learnt by the robots in order to perform the changes in the machinery to make it more
effective and efficient. The Professional development of the system is necessary because the
professional systems should be developed more accurately for performing the different desired
tasks more effectively and efficiently. The professional development is the strategy of
developing the systems for the different companies with higher accuracy.

Conclusion:
From this research study it has been concluded that the robotic technologies are one of the
world’s largest growing technologies. The robotics leads to the great impact on the industries
because with the help of the robots the companies can perform the desired tasks more effectively
and efficiently in order to perform the different tasks more effectively and efficiently. The robots
can preform the manufacturing or any other task more accurately than the humans and also are
very economical in order to perform the task more than the humans. The robotic machines
perform the repetitive tasks without any delay and without being tired. The machines are able to
perform such tasks much more easily which are very difficult and tiring for the humans and can
achieve the better results. The different aspects of the robotics development has been learnt
during this research study in order to develop the more effective and efficient robots. The robots
are much more efficient than the humans. The robots can work without being tired continuously.
It has also been learnt that the robotic development is includes the environmental, social,
physical as well as the ethical aspects which has been taken care of by the professional
developers who are being developed by keeping in mind. During this research study the
problems and challenges are also been learned in order to avoid those problem and develop the
more effective and efficient robots for performing the desired tasks.
