Introduction:
Smart lock technology adds convenience, but it's important to remember that this option is
first and foremost a security device. It's important to take security features seriously. Use a
PIN code for any voice control unlock, and make sure you only give access codes to unlock
the door to people you trust. Enabling the auto relock feature is also a good idea, so the
door will lock behind you if you forget.
No matter which smart lock you choose, adding one to your smart home offers a lot of
advantages. With these tips and the best smart lock on your door, managing access for
family members, roommates, service providers and guests is a breeze.
Having a smart lock on your door could change your life, particularly if you're the kind of
person who never knows where your keys are hiding. Paired with a mobile app, the best
smart locks allow you to remotely lock, unlock and monitor your front door.
You can unlock it for a service provider or a friend with the tap of a button or with a voice
command, and have peace of mind knowing you won't be locked out if you lose your keys. A
smart lock offers convenience, security, automation and peace of mind.

Smart Lock:
Smart Lock is one of the largest dataset .The smart lock that has most of the locks in
Schlage's side includes: Enter access code or open with the application and 100%
shockproof and anti-cocoon keyless design and warning technology detects door attacks. At
the same time, there are features that the predecessor smart locks have not been able to do:
Lock or Unlock to any where. Connected to Smart Home, Opening the temperature and
turning on the light and security camera. Hence, current datasets address only partially the
challenges of realworld scenarios. This motivates us to propose Smartlock: a dataset
recorded in a semi-controlled environment and real-world settings. Here we summarize the
key characteristics of Smartlock: (1) The dataset was recorded in a real apartment using
fingerprint and phone app monitoring 3 scenes:living room , bedrooms and hallways(2)
Objects are captured during the unlocking process without the need for any activation tools
(3) Activity duration ranges from a couple of seconds to a few minutes. (4) As the camera
positions were fixed, the camerato-subject distance varies considerably between videos. (5)
Integrated with smarthome allows users to unlock when unlocked to activate indoor devices
including lights and heaters
Schlage Sense (Smart Deadbolt):
The locks offered under Schlage Sense are the only locks that work natively with Siri and
Apple HomeKit — but Schlage Sense is NOT natively SmartThings compatible. These
products contain bluetooth communicator chips, and cannot integrate into Z-Wave or
Zigbee networks. Schlage Sense locks are Bluetooth smart lock designed for Apple
HomeKit ecosystems.
- Built-in audible alarm
- Does not use Z-Wave or Zigbee network
- Use Siri to unlock or lock
- 100+ user codes
- Physical key hole for backup/emergencies
- Backlit display
Schlage Connect (touchscreen deadbolt with alarm):
This line of Schlage products contain Z-Wave network communicators, enabling use in
home automation systems, including native compatibility with SmartThings. All locks and
keypads, under the name Schlage Connect, can connect natively to SmartThings.
- Built-in audible alarm
- Z-Wave network
- 100+ user codes
- Physical key hole for backup/emergencies
- Backlit display
Schlage Touch (Keyless touchscreen deadbolt or level):
This line of Schlage locks is entry-level hardware, not intended for home automation or
remote access. Schlage Touch is NOT recommended for smart homes, or SmartThings.
- Keyless – this means there is no option to use a physical door key
- No home automation support
- No backlit display
- No built-in audible alarm
- Fewer customization features (that are available on Connect and Sense)
