INTRODUCTION
The below report set objectives for a dental clinic in order to ensure better growth and
development and achieve better results within the working environment. The chosen clinic for
the report is Harley Street Dental Clinic. It is situated on 139, Harley St. of London. The report is
going to identify the SMART objectives in which the clinic will be provided with objectives to
achieve set growth and development.

To implement written communication between dentist and clients to reduce communication
gap within 4 months to increase profit by 5 %
It is important for a dental clinic to have smooth communication going on in order to
achieve set growth and development. This ensures that they are providing the right services to
the customers and are allowing people working within the organisation to communicate freely.
Below explore are these SMART objectives briefly:
 Specific: The objective of the written communication is specific because it helps the
organisation to reach new set of growth and achieve better results. This is one of the most
important aspects which is needed by the organisation in order to maintain better
efficiency within the clinic and ensure that smooth communication is taking place
(Benevolo, Dameri and D’Auria, 2016). A good communication will provide the clinic
with better functioning and would help it to reach new level of growth altogether.
Implementing techniques of written communication will help the communication
between the clients and the dentist to flow better along with providing a better patient
satisfaction.
 Measurable: The objective of implementing written communication between the client
and the dentist is difficult to measure. It is because it happens between the two parties
and no one is having any other role in it. In order to measure the practices properly it is
important to take feedback and understand what are particular views of the clients. In
order to ensure this, I will be taking measures such as taking regular feedbacks from the
client and understanding how they are feeling from the communication which is taking
place. This will help the clinic to reach further and ensure better growth and development
as well.

 Achievable: The goal of ensuring better written communication between the patients and
the doctors is achievable. It is because the practice is easy to follow and it is not going to
require much effort from both of the sides. It will help the clinic to ensure a smooth
communication is being followed. Along with it, this is going to ensure better staff
motivation as well because staff needs to be trained in order to achieve good
communication (Bjerke and Renger, 2017). The written skills will help the staff to
develop new skill where they will write more often.
 Realistic: The goal is realistic because it can ensure that better communication flowing
between both of the parties. The patients arriving in the dental clinic are going to feel
satisfied because the information provided to them will be in the written form and they
will be having a proof of the treatment which they want to be part of in particular. This
will help the clinic to reach new growth aspects and ensure that better profit is being
earned. Also, this will help the clinic in increasing its profits in due time.
 Time-Bound: The chosen time for the objective is 4 months. It is because
implementation and following up on the practice is going to require around 120 days. It is
important for the clinic to reach further in order to achieve and ensure better growth.
Developing the skill of written communication is going to require around 60 days for the
doctors. The specific time will clearly help the staff and the management of the clinic to
ensure efficiency of practice. It is important for the clinic to ensure better efficiency in
practice because during improving written communication skills, it is hard for the people
to improve their set of skills in the first time. In order to ensure better growth and
development, the set time will allow the staff members working in the company to be
more clear and precise about their work (Kommor and Benson, 2017). Also,
improvement of writing skills will help the company to reach and ensure better selection
and recruitment.

to ensure this the goals of developing better verbal communication skills is set up by the team. It
will help the organisation to reach new level of growth and to ensure most importantly to build
trusts with its clients. Also, it is going to allow reach new level of success and growth of the
clinic and its staff members.
 Specific: The goal is specific because it is going to help the clinic in reaching better
growth. In order to ensure this, our team is going make use of effective practices such as
speaking more and more to the clients, becoming part of new training and development
programs and ensuring better communication within the team (Rosswurm and Crabtree,
2018). These specific goals will help the team to reach new level of growth and would
make it able to ensure that better growth is being achieved by making use of good verbal
communication practices.
 Measurable: The set goals of the organisation are measurable because the techniques of
the verbal communication can be measured easily. For example, our team on a regular
basis will be allotted with the tests in which they have to speak on a topic for 5 minutes.
Their speech will make it able for the organisation to measure their communications
skills. The measurable quality is going to allow the organisation in achieving better
results and ensure that our team is reaching to the set goals properly.
 Attainable: The goal is attainable because our team is dedicated in improving their
communication. Along with it, the techniques followed such as better training and
development and their core needs is going to allow the organisation to reach new
development and ensure better growth. It will help the organisation in reaching new
development and ensure that better communication is being followed within its member
to achieve good customer retention.
 Realistic: The goal is realistic as it can be seen that the clinic is having such practices in
place where the employees which are working in the organisation can be taught with
required skills and develop better communication. It can help the team members to
achieve new set of skills and develop their communication as such that it is achieving
required growth. In order to ensure this, better practices are being followed which

includes training and development. It explains that the goal is realistic and can be
achieved.
 Time-Bound: The time set for the goal achievement is 3 months. It is important for the
clinic and to ensue that better skills of language and development are being practices on a
regular basis so that better growth and development of the organisation can be achieved.
In order to do this, the team is provided with a time of 3 months. This will help the
organisation to develop and train its employees in order to gain a better development.
Also, the time of 3 months is enough for the employees working in the clinic in order
provide the arriving patients with better communication and achieve set growth.
