Introduction
IOT can be extended as the Internet of things; it is the most emerging technology in nowadays
development and also provides a large number of benefits in the real world. The aim of this
technology is to reduce the efforts made by humans as well as makes the life of the people
simple and easier. A lot of rich functionalities present in this technology and its mechanism
makes its use efficient as well as effective. IOT also focusses on reducing the time-consumption
and helps in optimizing the full use of the resources.
The report made below completely focusses on IoT technology and the implementation of the
IOT technologies in developing the culture of the Smart Office. Daily use things such as locking
the doors, switching on or off the fan or the window, other electronic devices are being
developed through the help of the IOT technology. The whole scenario developed is based on the
building the computer networks for Melbourne as well as Wagga Wagga office sites.

Setting up the Registration server and wireless router
Melbourne Smart Office Design:
Figure 2: Server Part
Adding Registration Server which will show the registered devices.
This server is located at Melbourne Smart office branch.
All smart devices will get registered to this server.
All smart devices will be accessible remotely.
Figure 3: Registration Server IP configuration
As shown above configuring the IPV4 address on Registration Server.
All the devices will have this address for registering itself.
All the devices will be accessible remotely via IP address or URL: “www.hafiz.com”

Figure 4: U_Name and P/W screen
As shown above, Username & Password must be entered for registering the device on the server.
For allowing the smart devices to get registered over the server, it is must TURN ON the service of a
physical server.
Username and Password are configured on the registration server.
Configuring the devices for the Wireless router LAN
Figure 5: Wireless Router
AS shown above Adding Wireless Router.
Adding a Wireless Router, which will allow the user to get connected with the Registration Server by
this Wireless Network.
The user is required to connect with the SSID before accessing the registration server because it will
create a failure in access to server & IOT devices.
Document Page
Figure 6: Router's Wireless Configuration
As shown above, SSID has been created for the user to get connected with the wireless network to
manage the IOT Smart Devices.
The user will need to connect to this SSID by entering the secured key/passphrase.
This SSID is TKIP encrypted and WPA2-PSK authenticated.
These methods make the Network Secured.
Figure 7: Tablet
As shown above, Adding Wireless Tablet.
This Wireless Tablet will allow the user to access the Registration Server Web Page.
Also, This Wireless Tablet will allow the user to access the Smart IOT devices remotely.
The user would be required to create an account on this server.

Figure 8: SSID Connection
As shown above, user is trying to connect to the SSID with given Passphrase.
The user is required to select WPA2-PSK authentication with TKIP encryption.
Any mismatch will cause the error/connection to refuse.
After entering all the required details, users will not only be able to access the Registration Server
but also be able to manage the smart devices remotely.

Adding Smart-Device to the network and enabling the WIFI settings.
The user is required to select WPA2-PSK authentication with TKIP encryption.
Any mismatch will cause the error/connection to refuse.
After getting connected with SSID, the user will be able to access this smart device by login to
Registration Server through Wireless Tablet.

Configuring the Username and Password same as student ID as recommended.
After entering all the required details, the user needs to connect the device by clicking on “ connect-
button”.
Figure 11: Adding Wi-fi Settings
Adding Smart-Device to the network and enabling the WIFI settings.
The user is required to select WPA2-PSK authentication with TKIP encryption.
Any mismatch will cause the error/connection to refuse.
After getting connected with SSID, the user will be able to access this smart device by login to
Registration Server through Wireless Tablet.

Figure 13: Enabling Wi-Fi Settings
Adding Smart-Device to the network and enabling the WIFI settings.
The user is required to select WPA2-PSK authentication with TKIP encryption.
Any mismatch will cause the error/connection refuse (Xia et al., 2015).
After getting connected with SSID, the user will be able to access this smart device by login to
Registration Server through Wireless Tablet.

DNS SERVER
Figure 15: DNS Server
As shown above, configuring DNS server for Registration-Server with IP “116.41.17.2”
Document Page
After configuring the DNS server, the user will now be able to access this server by
www.hafiz.com
Basically, user now has two choices to access the registration server, either by using URL or by using
IP.
REGISTERED IOT DEVICES
Figure 16: Registered IOT Devices
As shown above, Registered-devices are now accessible on Registration Server’s web page.
Smart CO Detector, Smart Sprinkler are accessible on Registration Server’s web page (Ramani, S.
K., & Iyengar, S. S. 2017, August).
Smart Window is accessible on the Registration Server’s web page.
