3SMART TOURISM
Introduction
Smart tourism can be defined as defined as the implementation of the advanced
technologies that includes the better processing of tourism. Implementation of ICT based tools in
commencing of the tourism. With the help of the ICT based tools the efficiency of tourism of
visitors will increase. This is the reason that this technology has been gaining higher acceptance.
This report discusses about the problem statement that are important to answer for better
understanding of the terminology regarding the implementation of the ICT based tools in
tourism. This report also provides a literature review regarding smart tourism. This report will
also provide the understanding of the methodology that has been used for completion of the
report. After providing the literature review, summary of the entire report is also provided.
Problem Statement / Research Questions
Research Question 1: What are the tools that are used for the better implementation of
the smart tourism?
Research Question 2: What are the advantages of implementing Smart Tourism?
Research Question 3: What are the disadvantages of Smart Tourism?
Research Question 4: What is the rate of implementation of Smart Tourism in real life?
Literature Review
Tools used for implementing Smart Tourism
The tools that are implemented for proposition of Smart Tourism are as follows: -
QR Codes: according to Lee (2017), QFC codes are made with the help of the legislation
that are present in the curse of data management as the projection of profession can be

done with the help of the digital processing of QFC authority. This leads to the fact that
the commencement of the project will get performed in an efficient manner.
NFC tags: According to Hwang, Park & Hunter (2015), NFC tag can be termed as the
main processing of the project commencement of the project. A small microchip is
instilled in the project which helps in transferring of the data in a faster rate. This
increases the efficiency of the project.
Internet of Things: According to Marine-Roig & Clavé (2015), Internet of things is used
for data transaction, which helps in understanding of the project commencement
techniques. This is one of the main reason that affects the functioning of the nature
system.
Advantage of Smart Tourism
According to Zhang, Cheung & Law (2018), the main advantage that is enjoyed by the
users of smart tourism is that the understanding of the project is well managed with the help of
transacting the data management as the project commencement will be performed with the help
of the management of the project as the data that re generated during the processing of the
tourism can be checked with the help of the data that are stored on the data base of the
management
Disadvantage of Smart Tourism
According to Kim & Canina (2015), the main disadvantage that is present in the
completion of the project is that the privacy that is required in the completion of the project
requires improper management of the data that are generated during the course of the tourism.
This is one of the main reason that the projection of the management gets hampered.

Rate of increase in implementation of Smart Tourism
The rate of implementation of smart tourism has been increasing and it is expected that
the rate of implementation of the Smart technology will increase to 47% in next decade.
Methodology
The methodology that has been used in this research is hybrid methodology. In case of
hybrid methodology, implementation of both quantitative research methodology and qualitative
methodology. In the initial stage of the project commencement, quantitative methodology is used
in the initial stage of the project. In case of the project initiation, the man aspect that is taken into
consideration is that authenticated literature will be prosecuted in order to understand the concept
in a better manner. The literature that is reviewed are authenticated in nature and this helps in
understanding the basic terminologies of smart tourism. This acts as one of the main reason that
this methodology is used. Research regarding the projection of the terminologies of smart
tourism is well understood. Leading ti the fact that the commenced of the project will be
completed with better management and efficiency. This acts as one of the major reason that hints
toward s the success of the project. In case quantitative methodology was not performed in an
efficient manner, accuracy of the entire project decreases. This is the reason that the
commencement of the project requires proper implementation of the quantitative methodology.
After completion of the quantitative methodology, implementation of qualitative methodology is
used. This process is used in order to understand the functioning of the smart tourism
methodology. In case of implementation of the qualitative methodology, the basic terminologies
are not very well defined as the qualitative methodology helps in proper analysing of the project.
This is one of the main reason of implementing the qualitative methodology. With the help of the
qualitative methodology a better understanding of the functionality of the project in an in depth

manner can be gained. This also helps in better commencing of the project. In case the
commencement of the project is ti be completed in an efficient manner. In case of usage of the
qualitative research methodology the main aspect that is taken into consideration requires better
commencement of the research as survey taking of the mass is done in order to better
management of the project. After completion of the survey that is performed, the results are
collected. After the collection of the data that are generated in the course of survey is well
analysed. In case the analysis of the system is performed in an efficient manner the completion
of the project will be performed in a better manner. This analysis of the data is one of the main
reason that affects the accuracy of the project. Again in case the analysis of the generated data is
not performed in a better manner, the entire project might fail, leading to the fact that the
commencement of the project can be performed with the help of the management of the project.
This is one of the main reason of performing qualitative research methodology.
Summary
This report discusses about the problem statement that are important to answer for better
understanding of the terminology regarding the implementation of the ICT based tools in
tourism. This report also provides a literature review regarding smart tourism. This report will
also provide the understanding of the methodology that has been used for completion of the
report. After providing the literature review, summary of the entire report is also provided. It is
seen that the implementation of ICT based tools in the commencement of the project has been
increasing in a very fast rate. This is also considered as one of the most important project
management terminology as the efficiency that is provided by the ICT based tools are very high.
This implementation of ICT based tools have been gaining importance as this technology has
been improving the management of tourism in a better manner. This leads to the fact that the

commencement of tourism has been done in a better manner. It is also expected that till the next
decade the rate of implementation of this technology will increase and this will help in better
management of the project. Tourism gets facilitated and this is the reason that the
commencement of the project gets managed in a better manner.
