Introduction
This report is based on an evolved era with all of the great advances in computer technology
which have been implemented in the past few decades. A computer system typically consists
of hardware, operating system, system programs and application programs. In this context,
Smartphone is also a kind of computer system which has considerably brought revolution in
the recent innovative technology field. Smartphones and Tablets (herein after referred as
SAT) can be utilised for distinct useful purposes. For instance, tablets are the media machines
which are used for entertainment and playing games. SATs can be used for communication as
well as task-oriented activities (Szekely et al., 2013). Besides, SATs may or may not run on
the same operating systems and apps, hence this is the field where the similarities amid above
two end. However, there are some critical disadvantages of the SAT which can certainly
obstruct the growth and revolution in the society caused by them (Islam & Want, 2014).
In this way, this paper will discuss and demonstrate general as well as in-depth understanding
about the selected computer system which is SAT here. Finally, with the future trends of the
SATs recommendations will be provided for the readers of this journal.

Smartphone is a type of mobile phone that works on a mobile operating system own advance
computer capability as well as connectivity than a featured phone. On account for the
capabilities and technology of SAT, they have brought a significant change in the modern
world and we all human beings have become dependent on them (Hasan & Yu, 2017). The
reason behind our dependency over SAT is that they can perform and handle our daily tasks
well. For instance, remembering major dates, schedules, tasks and setting reminders can
easily be performed by our phones now. Hence, SATs have created a major effect on the
human way of living. It means that SATs have transformed our life better, simpler as well as
everyone can stay connected to their loved ones with no considerable cost which makes
people happy.
Smartphones are the devices which are assembled on mobile hardware with selected
operating systems like iOS, android in order to fulfil the requirements of this era’s mobile

personal communications used to take place. Besides, with the fresh launch of smartphones
provided with cutting-edge technology, the competition is now more violent. The increased
use of SAT can be easily seen by mobile traffic which is used to recognize customer mobile
behaviour. Besides, different mobile apps generate different amounts of traffic and it is
important to know how much time we are spending on each mobile app (Szekely et al.,
2013).
Around the world, undoubtedly people have become completely addicted to their
smartphones. It is now well-aware that people in public gatherings, functions and meets often
seen indulged into their smartphones, while unaware of the physical environment around
them. Moreover, the smartphone craze is popular in Nigeria also, as the region has been
declared as one of the biggest mobile internet users worldwide (Datta et al., 2012).
SATs are famous and trending now a days but the major focus of this paper is on how we can
harness best benefits of the technological innovation of SAT so that global people can
leverage benefits of recent technology rather than being targeted from the cons of them. In
this context, SATs are being popular and people are getting addicted in exponential number
which is quite obvious because of the benefits, ease and entertainment they offer to people.
On the other hand, human can utilise the benefits of SATs in many areas like education,
medical research, engineering research, management and studies, prevention from crime and
many more (Islam & Want, 2014). The major requirement of implementation of SAT
technology into above areas is the human awareness regarding the opportunities they own
while using these devices.

SATs invention and up gradation must be utilised for bringing positive change into the
society and technology as well.

Moreover, our millennial mobile user desire more advanced technology in SATs which will
further introduce augmented reality, flexible screens, seamless voice control, in-built
projector, 3-D screens and holograms in the upcoming future of smartphones and tablets
(Hasan & Yu, 2017).
There are some key features of both smartphones and tablets which distinguish them from the
rest featured phones and hence these must have features will enable SATs to conquer the
