This report investigates the internationalization strategies and barriers faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Nigerian agricultural sector. The study aims to identify effective strategies for SMEs to expand their operations internationally, increase sales, diversify risks, and improve export performance. The research explores the meaning of internationalization, the specific challenges faced by SMEs in Nigeria, and the strategies that can be adopted to overcome these challenges. The methodology includes a qualitative research design with a survey of 10 successful agricultural production companies that have internationalized. The report also examines the barriers to internationalization, such as limited resources, low competitiveness, and financial constraints. The findings are expected to provide insights into how Nigerian SMEs can improve their global presence and contribute to the country's economic growth.
