CASE 15.1
Question 1:
The three options that are discussed in the case study and available for the company are
education and training for upper mobility, related services (stamps anyone) and on line ordering
option. The option of providing training and education to upper mobility is useful at the initial
stage as this help the company to build a strong workforce that will help in to manage at the top
level and to take effective decisions for the company growth (Coyle et.al,2016). However, it is a
risky situation as there are chances that after training and education these employees shifted to
other organizations and might work for competitors. Purchase order option is suitable as it will
resultant in improving efficiency by reducing operational expenses. But, this alternative requires
huge investment and network with producers in order to eliminate wholesalers and distributors.
This distribution channel is sustainable and can leads to long term benefits (Hugos,2018). Last
option is online ordering, this option help in to solve the issue of Snoopze of low profitability as
online ordering includes low operating cost, can helpful in implementing MOT concept and
ensure presence on many platform. Some of challenges that Snoopze might face includes
coordinating with suppliers and connecting in store pickups with online orders (Coyle
et.al,2016).
Question 2:
It is recommended that Snoopze should go for online ordering concept rather than P.O related
services and education and training. As online ordering is future of the retail segment and can
help the company to strengthen its supply chain with less involvement of middleman and more
of producers and suppliers (Coyle et.al,2016).
