INTRODUCTION
Soapsicle Sdn Bhd is a brand that only uses organic ingredients in our products and
provides products that can help people to get healthy and beautiful skin. We had started
launching our new product on 12th July 2021. Before we launching your product, we had to
prepare it well because this is an important part for a company's growth. We successful
when we have received feedback from people with eczema that our natural and organic
based Bar Soap have helped. We certainly can't guarantee that it will help everyone, but it
does seem to help some.
However, the product that we had created is name Soapsicle Bar, our product is suitable for
all type of skin but we very recommend for those who have sensitive skin to try our product.
Nowadays many people are switching to organic soap because they realize that commercial
soaps generally are produced on a large scale with harsh chemicals, synthetic ingredients
and cheap perfumes or fragrances which all can cause irritation to your skin.
The idea that we had combine to made people in love with our product is with the unique
and beautiful design, the smell from the lavender and follow by the organic and healthy
ingredients that we provided.

1.0 PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION
Product classification is a marketing and business term that categorizes products based on
how and why consumers purchase them. These distinctions can change the way companies
market their products and affect other aspects of sales, such as pricing and distribution.
Products and services fall into two classes based on the types of consumers that use
consumer product and industrial product.
Consumer product are products and services bought by final consumers for personal
consumption. Marketers usually classify these products and services further based on how
consumers go about buying them. While industrial product is those purchased for further
processing or for use in conducting a business.
Consumer products consist 4 categories which is convenience product, shopping product,
specialty product and unsought product.
Soapsicle bar is classified as convenience product and specifically categorized as product
services that the consumer usually buys frequently, immediately, and with a minimum of
comparison and buying effort. Usually, convenience product involves low-cost item.

2.0 CORE BENEFIT
To clean our skin
One of the best reasons to use our natural soap is it’s great for your skin. Our natural soap is
made using only natural ingredients which are generally better for your skin. We are using
100% natural soap then you can guarantee there will be no chemicals in the soap which can
cause damage to your skin. In our natural soaps made with natural ingredients the scent
usually comes from essential oils like lavender which are extracted from the plant. This is the
only way to scent a truly natural soap.
Most common soaps you buy at your supermarket or pharmacy will contain chemicals of one
kind or another. The most common ingredients we see used in soaps and shower gels that
are of a chemical nature are Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Laureth Sulphate.
These chemical surfactants are specifically designed to remove grease and oil from skin.
The problem is that your skin needs a specific type of grease to tie its skin cells together and
stop water from evaporating out of your skin. When you use these chemical surfactants on
your skin, they are aggressive and can remove your natural grease and leave your skin dry
because they have essentially created lots of gaps in your skin for water to get out and
bacteria to get in. When you wash with a natural soap, they are a lot milder than the
chemical version of soap. Also because of the way soap is produced they naturally contain
glycerine, which is extremely moisturising and actively works by drawing moisture towards it
from the environment around it.
Glycerine is the key reason natural soap is better than chemically formulated soap. This is
because the natural soap will wash away dirt and bacteria from your skin, but once it has
done that it leaves a layer of moisturising glycerine behind to draw moisture towards your
skin.
This is one of the main reasons why to use natural soap. It is gentle on your skin, it doesn’t
remove natural grease that stops water from evaporating out of your skin, and leaves a
moisturising layer of glycerine behind to actively draw moisture towards your skin.

2.1 ACTUAL PRODUCT
The actual product is the tangible, physical product and what the average person would think
of under the generic banner of product.
FEATURES
Our soap made with 100% organic and natural ingredients such as coconut oil, palm
oil, grapeseed oil, colloidal oatmeal, organic honey, 3% essential oil and glycerine.
We also no added any chemical pesticides that will affect the skin.
DESIGN
Soapsicle Sdn Bhd comes out with soap bar lavender. Why we choose lavender
because there are many different types of lavender scent. From one end of the
spectrum is the very medicinal scent to the other end which smells like a lavender
garden. Our size soap bars are approximately 3 inches long, 2 inches high and 1

An augmented product is a product has been enhanced by its seller with added
features or services to distinguish it from the same product offered by its
competitors. Augmenting a product involves including intangible benefits or add-ons
that go beyond the product itself.
Warranty
A warranty is a type of guarantee that a manufacturer of a product gives to the
customer regarding the condition and quality of its product. It also refers to the terms
and situations in which exchanges will be made if the product does not function as
originally described or intended. This is the most popular way to augmented product.
This way, a company makes a promise to fix a certain item if it breaks down in a

specified time period. Customer can complain of damage to the soap purchased if
the soap has no smell, the soap stains and the soap changes the colour. So,
customer can complain the damaged of the soap that they buy and we will replace
with the new one. Other than that, if box has a damaged a delivery time as example
is ceramic box so customer can complain with us. Warranties will generally have
exceptions to them that limit manufacturer’s obligations. Such exceptions may
include the warranty of expiration date, the product not being used as intended and
the product being resold after purchases.
Discount
A discount coupon for a future purchase is a product augmentation, as is an offer of
a refund if the customer is dissatisfied.
Free Shipping
Free shipping can be enjoying by all SoapSicle Bar customer without any any
minimum quantity order (MQO). Firstly, it may increase sales and revenue in a 2015
case study. It provided that a free shipping offer had increased ecommerce orders by
some 85 percent and 6 percent increase in new customer aquation. Besides that,
providing free shipping service actually give advantage to us as seller where we can
control the shipping cost itself. SoapSicle Bar can take actions that will significantly
reduce shipping costs. Given this level of control, managing shipping estimated
arriving time. Furthermore, by providing free shipping service, it will help retain
customers, we believe that there is a relationship between customer retention or
loyalty with services provided which one can be by offering free shipping.
PACKAGING
Soapsicle Bar comes in box packaging. We choose the box to make it easier for
packing. The size of box is 3.5 cm height, 2.75 cm width and 3 cm length also each
box contains 150g of SoapSicle Bar. Besides that, box packaging is recyclable and
give our product an extra benefit of becoming an environment friendly product. After
finish uses the bar soap, customer just need to throw away the box and it will ready
to be recycle or reuse for other purposes.

The colour of the box is white makes SoapSicle Bar took more exclusive and
enhance the brand name ‘SoapSicle’. People will assume packaging will be more
expensive however. SoapSicle Bar is much cheaper price and worth to buying
products and affordable price. Customer will be more attracted to the colour and
indirectly starched to buy the product.

between parents and their child who are 5 years old and above can also use this as
they can refer the instruction together and uses the SoapSicle Bar.
We also printed an ingredient at the side of the box as a they can refer what stuff is
used to make a SoapSicle Bar. This is to refer to whether the product is suitable for
our skin or not. And this is to refer to whether ingredients good to used are safe or
not. Ingredients used are also stated on the packaging so that customers can see if
they have any allergies toward the ingredients. Furthermore, a nutrition into is also
stated on the SoapSicle Bar package so they can see nutritional benefits for them.

3.0 PROMOTION STRATERGIES
What is promotion? Promotion refers to entire set of activities which communicate the
product, brand or service to the user. The idea of promotion is to make people attract to buy
the product. There are several types of promotion. For example. Advertising, press release,
consumer promotion such as schemes discount. While below the line we got trade discount,
freebies, incentive trips, awards and so on.
3.1 Advertising
Advertising is a marketing tactic involving paying for space to promote a product, service, or
cause. Advertising is a good way to inform and persuade customer to buy the product.
Advertising is one of the promotion strategies tools used by Soapsicle bar. The goal of
advertising is to reach people most likely to be willing to pay for a company’s products or
services and entice them to buy. There are two ways of how Soapsicle bar advertise. The
first one is Soapsicle pays advertising on a billboard and then place it at the roundabout
Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur. The second one, Soapsicle run advertisement by setting up a
short video of Soapsicle on Instagram ads.

When businesses need to increase their sales with a clever marketing technique, one of the
oldest tricks is to offer a special deal on products to entice consumers is using a coupon to
attract them to buy the product. Coupon marketing is a marketing strategy that takes
advantage of consumer interest in saving money on purchases. Presenting your products to
customers at a lower price than usual may have a significant impact on customer loyalty and
satisfaction.

Soapsicle Sdn Bhd choose ‘Soapsicle Bar’ as our brand name because it’s based on ice
cream design which have tempting and delicious look like ice-cream that will make our target
customer can’t help themselves from buy it, so do as our product which is design as ice
cream to attract people to buy it. Our products are basically created from floral elements.
We use lavender as the main ingredient, and we also offer varies shape and colour with the
same lavender smell. For our logo, we choose black colour to show elegance of the product
while the leaves symbolise the nature as we used organic ingredients in our product.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, we had done everything we could to promote our product, including offering a
best price and to persuade people to purchase it. Furthermore, based on this report and the
product that we made, we can see that there are two distinct types of product classification,
various types of level product, and different types of promotion techniques. As a result, we're
doing this to reach our business goal of developing an organic product that everyone with
any skin type can use it without harming their skin and so that everyone can feel the
beautiful skin together. From this assignment, we also learned that communication with each
other is very important for the successful of our project. In addition, we learn more about
writing and research skills. The good cooperation among team members, our assignment
was the main keys for successful of this assignment. In addition, we were able to learn that it
is not easy to create a product that can attract customers to buy it as well as create a
product without any element of imitation from other products. Last but not least, we felt
happy because finally, after the exhaustion we experienced, we managed to produce the
product we wanted.
