Social housing refers to the scheme in order to provide housing facilities to families and
individuals at affordable prices. These are now become a problem as it become a promise
made by different corporate, governments, political parties, etc. but only limited amount were
fulfilled.

Social housing acts as a kind of problem that is difficult or ext to impossible to resolve as it is
significant to understand the overall contribution of real estate in the economy that exists into
modern world.

• What is social housing
It is a kind of service, provided by government to general people. Government take responsibility to provide housing facilities or
accommodation to people at lower price or budget. But it can increase overall cost of government because there are number of
people who are not wealthy and require housing accommodation facilities at lower price.

organisations have high interest and high power because they can improve living standard of people.
Financial sponsors have high power but less interest. Customers have high interest but low power as they

of the people towards the government that they are fulfilling their promises and positively
implement their planning into consideration.
• Illiteracy rates among the people also creates and enhance the problem as they are the core

all feasible for the government as it generates low taxes which is ultimately acts as losses for the
government.

has been identified that one of the best solution is to compromise with the demand and
designing of the houses along with their locality area.
• Another solution prefers related to controlling the overall population in order to fulfil the

• With the decrease in population, the government or non-profit organizations might be able to
fulfil the requirements of social housing facilities in appropriate manner.
• It involves creation of awareness by the non-profit organizations and collect donations
executing initiatives and the programs associated with similar issues for which the campaign is
carried away.

• There are various factors that contribute their part to the problem of the sudden fall of social

• Initial factors is that the government is unable to provide the fund to create social housing
schemes.
• Next factors are due to rise in population, the shortage of space among the society has been
identified and hence it is not feasible to create so many housing societies for general public.
• The third is social housing generates lower amount of taxes for the government due to which, the
political parties also do not take the concepts seriously. Last but not the least, government
officials as well as non-profit organizations make promises to provide social housing facilities in
order to attract people towards themselves
