1GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
Introduction
The following report describes about the burning problem in the society i.e. crime. It has
been a very outraging social problem in the entire world. This is really a very important issue to
be resolved since the entire world is suffering from the evils of this social problem.
Professionally it can be said that the international institutions are trying their best to cope up with
this evil in a better way (Akers, 2017).
Social analysis
This social analysis will look to focus on the social problem identified in this course as
crime. According to many experts, the criminal activities in the world have been rising all the
more indeed (Wilson, 2013). The criminals tend to deviate from the standard social standards or
customs and they commit such activities that hold them as guilty for committing harm to some
sections of the society. The people within the society will not accept the culprits either. This is
why the social evil of crime should have to be removed for the betterment of the society. The
self-reflective social reflection model will be helpful in this context (Wilson, 2013). I will like to
say that I will drag the attention of the law makers and suggest them to make more strict laws to
get rid of criminal activities within the society. This issue concerns me because the well-being of
many innocent people in the world. In my personal life, I have seen one of my relatives had been
the victim of crime when he was brutally killed by some goons for protesting against their illegal
activities.

Conclusion
This social analysis can be concluded by saying that crime is considered to be a very
sensitive issue and this has to be dealt with much caution. The international justice boards have
to take very strict actions in this issue positively.
Proposal
In this proposal some important questions would be set up along with the social action
plan to curb this issue properly (Gounev & Ruggiero, 2012). The social evil of crime should be
handled properly so the lives of many innocent people could be saved indeed. There are some
important things that I would like to share with everyone. If the rate of crime gets higher in the
society, the lives of the people will get higher (Gounev & Ruggiero, 2012). The violation of the
rules in the society has given the rise for the criminal activities. The criminal activities by a
certain section of people in the society has been due to many reasons like poverty, mental
sickness, density of the population, greed for wealth and unequal distribution of money in the
society (Abadinsky, 2012). There are a few questions that could be raised in this context. These
are:-
1. How can the rate of crimes be diminished?
2. What are the ways the correction can be done for the state of minds of the criminals?
3. What changes are required to improve the social balance?

3GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
This resource discusses about the ways the crimes can be controlled and awareness
among the community can be created. It depicts the importance of the awareness among the
people (Hughes & Edwards, 2013). This work has mainly concentrated on the role of the
common people but lacked in portraying the regulation of strict laws that could stop these crimes
being committed. This work has contributed a lot to the social analysis. It has made huge
contributions to understand the significance of lower down the crime rates in the world. The
crime prevention strategies have been developed very well in this work.
Ideology with sexism crime and sexual assault in Canada
The incidents of the sexual assaults in Canada are generally not reported. This is why it
becomes quite a big issue for the Government to take legal actions against these incidents. As a
matter of fact, it can be said that most people who have been victims of online sexual harassment
are not aware that this is also a kind of sexual assault as well (Sheehy, 2015). These problems
can arise within certain ethnic communities as well. Some of the expert scholars have noted that
the actions taken against the people who have committed these sexual assaults are not properly
convicted or punished. The police investigations and arrests do not take place very consistently
or regularly. This caters to the increase of these incidents all the more. The incidents of the
sexual assaults or the sexual violence have not decreased in spite of the fact that the report
lodging to the police for the sexual violence has gone down in the past few years (Sheehy, 2015).
The main reason behind the women not reporting to the police about this sexual violence
is the fear of the mental stigma and distrusting the entire investigation process. The sexual
investigation process is considered to be a bad thing for the metal well being of the women. The
patriarchy or the male dominated society is the reason why the women are oppressed in this

country (Johnson, 2012). The oppressions never comes into light and the women are unable to
express their briefs. Actually in the Canadian society, the women are generally looked upon as
the second class citizens and their only value lies in giving the birth to the children and providing
the labor in the domestic arenas (Johnson, 2012).
