INTRODUCTION
In the today's era, heath and social care organisation is the industry which is growing
continuously. As people are suffering from different disease or heath problems. It is very
important that heath care homes need to be increase so that every individual can be taken cured.
The report includes different principles, legislation and code of conduct are adopted by the heath
and care industry in order to cater the different needs and wants of the customers so that they can
be away from different disease and heath problems (Martínez-González, Berchtold and Egger,
2014). It is the responsibility of heath and care organisation to serve quality services to the
patient so that they can able to reduce their disability and heath problems. There are several
heath care practices and policies which need to followed by the heath care service providers so
that they can maintain proper and healthy environment in their premises. For this report East and
west care home have been taken, which is in the London and deliver care services to the different
individual which are facing various heath issues. In this report, benefits of person centric
approach has also discussed with respect of East and west care home organisation.

Question 1 (1.1): Explanation about the different principles of the person's care in the health and
social care venture.
It has been founded that East and west care home are not able to cater the needs and
wants of the customers who are facing lots of heath issues. Thus, the manager of the organisation
need to follow the different principles and laws of the heath and care organisation so that they
can solve the problems which they are facing nowadays in order to serve different services to
their patients. With the help of different principles, they can able to solve the problem of Denis
which is he facing and helps them to recover from the high tendency of self-harming due to
frustration, the principles are as follows:
Principle of information privacy and dignity: It is very important aspect or principle of the
heath and care organisation. This is because heath and care services providers do not have any
right to communicate the personal communication to the person who are not authorised to have
information. Family members are the only person who can take person information about the
customers. So all the heath care and service providers not to serve any information as it is against
the legal right. East and west care home's service experts should follow these principles in order

to provide privacy and independence. This is because they are following this principle and
service taker are very disappoint from this act.
Principle of Respect towards all the stakeholders: Heath and care Service providers and health
experts in this organisation are accountable in treating the disability and health issue of service
users. Other than that employees and care providers need to understand all the patient as a family
member and then they need to take care. With that they need to value and respect all the
customers so that they can fell comfortable in the heath and care premises. With that they need to
avoid all misbehave and abuse in the premises so that all the customers find that they are safe in
the organisation and care home. If the service expert adopts the principles of respect then east
and west care home service user's complaint can be overcome. With that they will able to solve
the problem of Denis.
Principles of confidentiality: According to this principle, all the heath and care providers need to
maintain the privacy in giving the personal information about the customers. Personal data can
only be served to the family members of the customers so that they can feel that proper privary is
maintained in the organisation. This will remove the problem of Denis and he can be taken cured
from the frustration. Protecting the private details of a patient is not just a matter of moral
respect, it is essential in retaining the important bond of trust between the health and social care
practitioner and the individual service user. Other than that it is also related to the privacy, which
state that services providers ans users should have sense to access the personal information. The
act related to this principle is The Data Protection Act 1998, The Access to Health Records Act
1990, The Medical Reports Act 1988 etc.
Promoting Equality & Diversity: Patients and service users are individual people and the venture
should always strive to ensure that their diverse needs are met and ensure that they have equal
access to the services they provide. This is particularly important for adults in need who, because
of a disability, illness or their age, are unable to take adequate care of themselves and keep
themselves from harm.
Question 2: (1.3) Analysis of the benefits of a person centred approach
In the heath and care organisation, person centred approach is very effective approach
which is very important in order to cater the needs and wants of the Denis and other customers.
Here Denis is feeling very frustrated and his is being collapsed at home with hypothermia
has a severe urine infection and a badly infected foot. He cannot walk and his diabetes,

infections, heart and renal conditions had left him very weak. Here he need a nurse care at home.
Other than that the benefits includes, that are as follows:
 With the help of this approach venture can identity the requirements of the customers and
then fulfil them so that they can have proper heath and remove all the heath related
problems
 It helps to create all the paired activities
 It helps in making sure that all the people are involved in the different activities of care.
 With that all the patient are being taken care properly because their needs and wants can
be fulfilled properly
 It is being focused on the customers needs and wants so that they can feel secure and
comfortable in the care premises and home.
 With assistance of this approach, care home can enhance the well being of the patents

 The venture have used person centred approach in this case in order to find the needs and
wants of the Denis so that he can come out from the different heath problems and
frustration.

can be achieved.

unauthorised person

organisation
Every person needs to be connected with the others so that they can find any friendly
environment in his or her life. When there is no society, individual can not service. They also can
not improve their personality and knowledge. If the person is interacting with the other people
can increase their knowledge, ability, experience, capability and ability of working at workplace.
Other than that, the other implications are as follows”

Question 4: (1.2) Description of various methods of protection
As per the given scenario, it has been founded that resident has not had his epilepsy-
control drugs at all that day which have cause very big problem for the patient. This the very big
issues for the organisation, the care provides is not able to take care of the patient and this is the
reason the patient have skipped his medicines. Care providers have been very bad protecting the
patient, which should be not care. This activity can cause very bad impact over the heath of the
patient. Mr Arthur have noticed this activity third time, now he need to take very strict action
against the person who is liable for it. Further, it has been seen that service providers and experts
have insufficient knowledge or application of clinical care standards and protocol, there are lack
of effective supervision. Some training and development programs need be arranged by the
venture so that employees or care providers can take care of their patients, the activities are as
follows:
Protection from the risk of harm:
Assembly of risk: It is the strategy which is being implemented by the East and west care home
so that they can plan to reduce the risk that have been taking place in the organisation. The
patient have not taken epilepsy-control drugs at all that day which cause very big risk for the
patient. Thus, organisation need to maintain proper heath and care risk assessment. With the help
of training people can have proper knowledge about the different risk. It is very important in this
case, because care providers are not able to take care of the patient in proper and appropriate way
and this is the reason the patient have not taken epilepsy-control drugs at all that day. The

training is basically made so that organisation can serve training to the service providers in order
to protect patients in the care home. This can solve the problem in the organisation and every
employee will be very discipline in order to take care of the patient.
Taking measure to remove risk: The concepts of risk assessment and risk management are
fundamental to prevention and control of risks to safety and health in the workplace. The key
aspects of risk assessment include making sure all relevant risks are taken into account, checking
the efficiency of the safety measures adopted, documenting the outcomes of the assessment and
reviewing the assessment regularly to keep it updated. Workers have a right to reduction in ill
health and accidents given that these things can be prevented or reduced if risk assessment and
risk management are done. The venture need to take several measures to remove the risk which
have been identified.
Communication of information related to different risk: Successful risk communication is a
complex art that requires skill, knowledge, training and
practice, as well as funding. An appropriate communication policy needs to be costed and
should be

The other name of ethical dilemmas is moral dilemmas. In this situation, Mrs Helen is a
20-year-old, pregnant, Black Hispanic female presented to the Emergency
Department (ED) in critical condition following a single-vehicle car accident. She has been
advised that she should be operated emergency, but she denied religious belief as being a
Jehovah Witness (Bircher and Kuruvilla, 2014).. The venture need to resolve this problem in
urgent manner. Not this is against the law that the venture can operate as surgery without the
permission of the patient. The management from these dilemmas are as follows:

places restrictions on certain types of information. Patient confidentiality is one of the
most important pillars of health and social care and linked to safe data and care. It also
relates to privacy insofar as service users having sense of being in control of what others
have access to when viewing their personal information. Sometimes it can be happen that
the information which need to be communicated are against the ethics of organisation. In
respect to perform several tasks and activities, policies are made to share information
towards the aims and objectives. In this regard, care taker need to keep secrecy in their
patient personal information.
 Protection from the risk of harm: it is another ethical dilemma for the organisation, the
venture first need to identify that what are the different risk, how that risk can be
communicated and how different strategies can be used to remove risk. In this way, care
taker has responsibilities to assess the risk that is essentially taken by self and other
people as well. It is main responsibilities of them to take proper care of individuals.

Helen. In this approach, they all are working through collaborate and collective manner to
accomplish effective results. This is because, they all are share skills, knowledge, capabilities,
efficiency, etc. Therefore, the best efforts are made to make efforts that assists to attain desired
objectives and goals in a particular time. With this regard, East and West care home required to
take roles and responsibilities to improves quality of performances. It is the best way to improves
quality of services in systematic aspect. In respect to work in the effective manner, entire
performances of the organisation need to improve that assists to meet with goals and objectives.
Managers also recruited new services provider that assists to meet with goals and objectives in
systematic aspect. It is the best way to enhance performances of East and West enterprise. In
respect to take proper care of the patient, East and West care home faced several problems facing
by the organisation. Poor quality of care services create services and improper delivery of the
services create major impact on the business outcomes. Therefore, in respect to enhances
working in the chosen business unit, manager need to recruit skilled members who take
important participation in the new services providers at workplace. In respect to enhance quality
and performances of the people, manager need to provide them services through they are able to
create effective functioning in seminars, training and development programs. Following are

hospitals, clinics, care homes etc. exists for providing proper care and determines regulations to
local authority.
Care home regulations 2001: The care home regulation 2001 advise to the owners in
respect to retention of the information for setting the regulations. They are also retained to make
some information regarding assessment, plans, contact details, medication records, etc.
Working together to safeguard children: In respect to develop effective understanding,
there are different acts has been frames that assists to make proper guidance to safeguarding the
children. Frameworks determines assessment of the children and their needs to make
