Introduction
 Support workers need to provide assistance to
others either practically or emotionally;
therefore, they will live their life without
depending on others.
 This aids individuals to maintain their living
standards in an effective way

Roles of non direct care workers
Non direct care workers means the staff members
who are not assigned for specific care area.
Basically, they are not involved in a particular
occupation. It has been examined that social care
environment will comprise nursing homes, day
care centres, residential care home, sheltered
housing and many others.

Maintenance
(Gardener and
Cleaner):
 They fix those issues which will happen in the
care homes.
 It is important for them to possess some abilities
such as coordination, problem solving, critical
thinking, etc.
 It is required to supervise them and thus, they
will correct their mistakes immediately.
Caterer:  Some skills need to be obtained by them, for
example: communication, food safety,
motivation etc.
 It is needed for them to follow the rules properly
to prepare food.
 They have to cook food in a right manner and
therefore, health of any individual will not get
affected.

Security staff:  They have to respond quickly at the time of
crisis.
 It is fundamental for them to provide security
tips to each and every individual.
 Some other kinds of duties are needed to be
performed by them which will include call
receiving, giving response to mails or messages,
etc.
Office staff
(Receptionist):
 They have to greet visitors of guests.
 It is essential for them to handle check in or
check out.
 He or she needs to cater required data and
information to all guests.
