INTRODUCTION
Social cognitive theory is learning theory which has been proposed and developed by Albert
bandura providing that learning of an individual is depended on the imitating modelling and
observation of the behaviors emotional reactions and attitudes of others in the organization. And
UK holiday is a tour company which is completely dependent on the experience of their
customers in the organization and known for its specialization in escorted tours (Alisic, and
Wiese, 2020). The company is well known for their services and when several awards for the
same. This report is going to explain about the social cognitive theory which is applicable in the
grant UK holidays with the help of several factors which are involved in the social cognitive
theory. This report is also contains the personal factors environmental factors and behavioral
factors which is a part of social cognitive theory and its impact on the employees of Grand UK
holidays.

Social Cognitive Theory and its Application on Grand UK Holidays
Social cognitive theory is a theory which helps an organization to define the influence of
personal, environmental and behavioral factors on the health behaviors of an individual. This
theory helps an organization to provide them chances to get social support with the help of
instilling expectations and utilizing observational learning so that they can achieve the behavior
change of the employees for their effective learning. Grand UK holidays this required to provide
training to their new as well as old staff for preparing them for the spring and summer tools. This
training requires an organization to create an effective training session so that they can be able to
provide different training to the managers, care staff, drivers and administration. Social cognitive
theory helps the company to identify several factors which has its impact on the behavior of
individuals working in the organization. Grand UK Company has found that both existing staff
and new staff is not happy with their training sessions due to several different reasons. New staff
is frustrated with the training because of the work in the training as they did not expect that they
are required to take responsibilities of elder tourist. Whereas the existing staff is is frustrated due
to reputation of the training that they already knew due to the previous training. It is essential for
the organization to identify their social cognitive behavior and learning capabilities so that
effective training sessions can be provided to them (Collins, and et. al, 2019). Social cognitive

sessions to their employees and effective services to their customers. Another problem which has
been faced by the company is the clash in the training sessions between new and existing staff
members due to clash of egos (Hockenbury, and Nolan, 2018). This requires grand UK holidays
to adopt social cognitive theory in their organisation. In order to understand and implementation
of social cognitive theory the various factors and aspects of the theory are explained below:
Personal factors
Personal factors includes different mental processes of individual within an organization. In case
of brand UK holidays it has been found out that the existing staff is is facing a problem regarding
their personal factors. The clash between new trainees and existing trainees happened due to
different mental processes of all the staff members. The existing star requires that the new stuff
will listen to their advisers whereas the new staff want to treat the existing staff as their fellow
trainees. This clash can enhance conflict among the staff members of the organization and it is
required for the company to effectively manage this situation (Nurmahanani, 2021)(Persson, . et
al., 2014). In order to manage the situation the social cognitive theory will help to analyze the
personal aspects of both the employees and help the leaders to have different training sessions
for both the staff members to avoid conflicts.
Environmental Factors
The environmental factor of an individual comprises of two main factors that are social factors
and physical factors (Min, Lee, and Kubow, 2021). Social factors includes family observational
learning and friends where as physical factors includes ability of tobacco products weather and
many more. In short environmental factors are those factors which are physically external to the
individual and have a great impact on the behavior of them. In case of grand UK holidays it has
been noticed that the company has facing a problem regarding the environmental factors is
existing staff members founded frustrated to get training from the new staff and new staff
members seen like the existing staff should be treated as their fellow trainees only. In order to
manage this the organization is required to provide different set of training to both the trainees
that is the new staff and the existing staff. It will not only help the organization to resolve the
clash of new staff and existing staff but also helps to provide new skills development program to

Behavior factors for social cognitive theory refers to the factors which helps to identify
the reaction of individual on the various inputs from social and physical environment. In order to
manage behavior factors in Grand UK holidays, the company is required to change the behavior
of new staff towards the working of organization by making them positive towards their training.
The company has found that new staff is getting frustrated due to the problem that they are
required to provide training and take responsibility of elderly travelers. This requires the
organization to change the perspective of the staff members and it can be possible with the help
of behavior factor of social cognitive theory. The company is requires to take several steps which
will help them to change the behavior of employees. This behavior factors will help the Grand
UK Company to analyze these factors and formulate effective strategies. In order to deal with
this situation the company is require to design their training session in such a manner that the
people of positive behavior can be able to get training with the people with negative behavior so
that the personal observance and surroundings can be able to change the perspective of
employees (Zhao, and Zhou, 2021).

program for their employees. The company has faced several challenges in providing training

them to enhance their productivity and provide effective and great services to their customers.

its capabilities and demands of the employees and their training session which will result in
