Introduction
Social determinants affect health condition of an individual. Moreover, it also influences the
behaviour of individuals. For instance, smoking habits can affect the respiratory system along
with addiction level among individuals of various age groups. In addition to that, unequal
treatment in society can create mental stress among individuals. Moreover, care users can also
suffer from diseases like dementia due to unequal social treatment. On the contrary, health
condition of individuals can be improved through effective education, income and access to
healthcare infrastructure. The main motive of the study is to surface reflection in order to focus
on the impact of social determinants on public health. Moreover, strategies will also surface so
that health issues can be mitigated.
Sharing of external reflection is crucial because it boosts learning experience of an individual. In
addition to that, reflection helps to point out the advantages and challenges of learning process so
that more individuals can get motivated to conduct the study in the future.
Part 1
Write a reflection on researching, preparing and presenting your mind mapping board on
theoretical perspectives underpinning HSC policies and practices.
At the time of designing the mind map on the impact of social determinants on health, I have
faced numerous issues because its design is critical in nature. Initially, I have pointed the reason
of health issues so that better insights can be gained among care users and providers. For
instance, it has been presented that individuals suffer from diseases like dementia and stress
because of differentiation within society (Ahmadi-Abhari et al., 2017). Further, I have also
pointed that social factors affect eating and living habits of care users. For instance, a chain
smoker can get addicted to smoking.
Furthermore, while drawing the mind map I have visited different schools in order to know the
reason behind depression. At the time of interaction, the care seekers have mentioned that they
suffer from mental stress because teachers show in different behaviour among the students.
Further, Young adults have mentioned that peer pressure and income disparity causes depression
and stress among them. Academic pressure is also a reason behind mental stress and depression.

While projecting the factors of addiction, I have noted that individuals eating habits influences
addiction level (Manoux et al., 2017). Further, I have noticed that passive smokers get addicted
to smoking. Thus, their health condition gets affected. Further, I have consulted articles from
scholars in order to analyse present trend of smoking among young adults of UK. For example, I
have to know that in the UK, 19.3% of men are considered as chain smokers. On the other hand,
15.3% female also smoke cigarettes because it provides them mental relaxation. Further, I have
pointed that, addiction level increases due to peer pressure (Blair and Raver, 2016).
At the time of designing the mind map, I have noted that, mental condition of care users gets
affected due to the level of stress. In addition to that, physical activities also affect also affect
mental health condition of users. Smoking habits can also cause mental illness because it
increases the level of body toxins. Further, smoking habits also creates mood swing among
individuals. Thus, behavioural differentiation also is implemented within individuals. The system
of dieting also affects mental condition of an individual. For instance, eating habits increases
level of Omega -3, Omega 6 and fatty acids (Blair and Raver, 2016). Lastly, behaviour of
individuals also affects mental health. Further, broken relationship also causes mental stress
among individuals. Thus, their health condition gets affected. However, while designing the
mind map I have noted that Dementia is being caused due to age issues. For instance, the
concerned disease is common among aged people because they have a tendency to forget things.
In the final stage of mind mapping, I have projected mitigation strategies so that individuals can
get a scope to live healthy standard of living (Ivan et al., 2019). I have taken weeks to complete
this mitigation stages because I have interacted to regional representatives of WHO. During the
interaction, they have stated that the Government of the UK needs to develop strategies so that
relevance rate of above-mentioned disease can be reduced. Some of the strategies that I have
mentioned in the mind map are government policymaking coordination among peers, social
support and holistic approach.
At the time of enhancing my knowledge regarding designing mind maps, I have faced issues
because I did not get free access to articles and journals. However, in the future, I will try to get
access to paid version articles so that design of mind map can be improved.

Part 2
A reflective account of how your research and preparation processes evolved to develop
your mind mapping visual board presentation on concepts about diversity and its impact
on HSC organisations
The main of the study is to focus on the impact of social factors on social health condition.
Further, I have researched about the factors affecting health condition of an individual.
Moreover, after I have also researched on the lifestyle of individuals in order to know the reasons
of Dementia, stress and addiction. Dementia is mainly caused among aged individuals because
are abandoned by their family members. However, I have also noted that dementia can be
mitigated if old people are associated to their family members. After analyzing various factors of
health condition, I also analysed the symptoms of Dementia, stress and addiction among various
age groups. However, after pointing the health issues I have also surfaced the strategies in order
to mitigate the health issues. Initially, I have pointed that care users of dementia need to be
enhanced in communication so that they do not feel lonely. Moreover, care users need to provide
clear instructions to users so that they can easily understand the messages conveyed by providers
to users. Communication process can also boost movement of sensory nerve so that individuals
can perform their activities as per their priority level. On the other hand, Picture Exchange
communication can be provided to individuals suffering from dementia so that they can remain
messages for a longer time (Labrague et al., 2018). At the time of communication, single
sentences need to be used so that dementia care users can understand messages effectively.
Further, I have noted that individuals suffer from depression because of in different behaviour
among individuals. Furthermore, peer pressure, income crisis and social life issues can cause
mental stress among individuals. However, individuals need to initiate group communication so
that mental stress can be reduced. Furthermore, mental stress can also be reduced if individuals
are involved in physical activities such as gathering. In care, house providers can conduct group
discussion so that level of mental stress can be mitigated. As per HSC principles, the care users
need to be treated equally so that quality of treatment can be boosted. The care users need to
maintain constant interaction with users so that they can present their issues to them. Moreover,
individuals can receive awards in classrooms, so that their level of stress can be reduced. Further,
I have noted that my research capacity has been increased while designing the mind map.

The above stated discussion, have procedure clear idea about my study. I have also gained
effective knowledge regarding HSC policies so that further studies can be conducted in an
accurate manner (Perry and Lawerence, 2017).
Part 3
Extend your written reflection with details of unbiased and non-confounding preparation
process employed to develop your mind mapping visual board on different approaches to
implementation of different health services operating at national level
At the time of designing the mind map, different colours and shapes are used so that their
visuality can be boosted. Further, while designing the map, I have used unbiased process so that
individuals can get a clear concept about the impact of social factors on social health condition.
In order to enhance the visual impact of the map, various shapes are being used. The shapes are
level properly so that even a nonprofessional can understand different factors presented in it. In
the map, different approaches of health organisations have been presented so that they can be
implemented in national and international level (Perry and Lawrence, 2017).
I have studied various symptoms of diseases so that I can present authentic information in the
map. Moreover, along with the symptoms, I have also presented the coping strategies so that
nonprofessional can generate an idea regarding treatment procedure of the diseases. Further, the
coping strategies include communication process so that health problems of care users can be
presented. In map, individuals’ need have also been provided so that they can remain cheerful. In
the map, I have suggested that leading positive social life can help to cure diseases like
depression, mental stress and Dementia. Further, for educational institutions, I have suggested
that they need to include two recesses within the timetable so that level of stress among students
can be mitigated. Further, I have suggested that level of peer pressure needs to be reduced so that
holistic development can be implemented among individuals. As per HSC, guide care providers
need to maintain constant interaction with care users so that their reputation in contemporary
market can be fathomed. Social skills also need to be implemented within individuals so that
positive relation can be maintained between care providers and users. As per HSC, approaches
all individuals need to follow rules and regulations set by the care home. So that biases can be
mitigated within care users and providers. In the map, behavioural aspects need to be highlighted
so that common people can understand under reason of causing mental stress and dementia.

This reflection should also detail validity and reliability processes you employed to identify
scientific literature and report scientific findings therein which form the basis on which the
current health policies and practices are grounded
At the time of designing the mind map, I have conducted sample research so that my knowledge
can be boosted. In addition to that, I have gathered knowledge from medical articles and journals
so that the mind map can be designed authentically. The articles have been collected from
database known as Med Pub. Before, selecting materials from articles, I have gone through the
whole piece so that I can read between the lines. On the other hand, peer reviewed articles have
also been researched in order to collect data. Moreover, the literature is a reliable source of
information, which will help the study to make effective. Articles published by eminent authors
have been considered while conducting the study. I have not considered the articles that have
been published before 2012. Thus, in this study updated information.
Conclusion
Thus, in this study, various information of depression, mental stress and dementia has been
discussed. It has been pointed that social lifestyle affects the health condition. For instance, care
users suffer from depression because of excessive work pressure. In addition to that, in effective
relation between family members also cause mental stress within young adults. In different
behaviour among teachers and peers, also cause mental stress among care ushers. However,
mental stress can be mitigated if individuals are treated equally in internal and external
surroundings. For instance, teachers need to treat students equally in order to reduce the stress.
Dementia is also being caused among old people because they are isolated from their family
members. However, dementia can be mitigated if individuals are motivated to take part in social
gatherings. Further, individuals need to take part in physical activities so that their mind can
remain pre occupied. Addiction is being abused due to living a faulty social life. For instance,
young adults get addicted to drugs due to peer pressure. Passive smoking habits can also cause
addiction towards smoking. The government has implemented new policies so that individuals
can get a scope to live a better standard of life.
