Social Enterprise
The social enterprise to be initiated is a solution to an existing problem of having areas
that lack access to light and energy. Therefore our social enterprise will produce products that
will provide light and energy to the society it has no access to electricity that can be used for
lighting and other energy purposes. Therefore, we venture in producing energy technology
products that will be able to solve such problems in society. The products will be offered to the
community at a lower price to ensure that every individual has access to lighting (Chapman,
2013). The energy technology will be comprised of energy saving bulbs, solar torches, solar
cooking devices, fire pit, and camp stove, etc.
Target market
The customers will come from the less privileged areas in the country and that do not
have access to electricity supply. The energy technology devices will be sold to the female since
they are the ones most concerned with house chores that require such devices. The female gender
require devices that will provide services at a faster rate. Therefore, they value such products that
will be able to solve their problem. Therefore, we are targeting that our most significant market
share will be from the ladies. However, that does not limit us from making our sales to the other
genders such as men and the youth who are in need of our products (Empter & Hackenberg,
2011). By offering such products, we know that we will solve various problems with the energy
issues in the homes and will have saved most of the people from having the burden of sourcing
those energy products.
