Social activism and public administration
The issue of public administration in the United States of America, that is equal distribution
of public resources by the political administration, has become a concern to most of the
philosophers and political analysts due to its impact of the lives of citizens in United States. It is
the right of every citizen to enjoy the states’ resources despites their political background and
also a responsibility for the political party in power to ensure fair distribution and allocation of
the state’s resources so as to fight poverty in the country and also to ensure equal development in
the country.
Political discrimination and poverty among the citizens
Political discrimination has been a major challenge to the people of United States of
America as most of the political leaders have discriminated other citizens with the different
political views from them and only focuses on the regions where they were fully supported
during the general election. Due to political discrimination by the elected leaders, poverty has
stricken most part of the country which has made most of the families to beg in the streets as
they cannot support themselves due to low income, unemployment cases and poor development
in such areas (Sekerka & Fredrickson, 2010).
Poverty due to poor development and unemployment among the citizens caused by political
discrimination has resulted to poor living standards since most of the citizens are unable to meet
their daily needs thus resorting to immorality like prostitution and robbery so as to support their
families.

Public administration in the country has been compromised by the political party in power as
most of the government services and resources are provided to specific regions leaving other
regions lagging behind in development.
Social equity in America
Social equity can be defined as equal distribution of the state’s resources despise of the
region, political views so long as the region is found in that country. Social equity has been
identified as the pillar for development and peaceful coexistence among the citizens regardless of
their political stand, the political party in power do not discriminate other regions when
allocating states resources.
In order to enhance social equity in the country, there is need for the social equity walk which
will enlighten the members of the public and political leaders on the importance of social equity
in the country for public administration and in distribution of states’ resources which will help to
fight out the discrimination and hatred due to our political differences and concentrates on
development (Fredrickson, DavisBlake & Sanders, 2010).
The walk for social equity campaign will have a positive impact on the administration trend
by the current government as it preaches against discrimination and hatred among the citizens
due to their political difference hence it will ensure equality in distribution of resources by the
government hence fight poverty among the citizens.
