values by the means of the different social media marketing aspects available. There are several
advantages of trying to reach to the customers via social media means. It is primarily because of
the 24*7 hour availability of these sites. The customers are able to get all the recent updates
without any delay. It is like a personalized platform that helps the customers to get instant and
quick updates regarding any new product launch, any seasonal sale or seasonal discounts.
Content is playing a major role in this aspect because it is through the beautiful, crisp ad the
colorful constant that people are able to get hooked to the particular brands.

The famous saying content is king is becoming the selling mantra of the social media
marketing platform (Michele 2018). All the companies have to make sure that they being able to
generate a very good and catchy website content that might attract attention if the customers. For
instance, the sports company might add some tips or suggestions on how to use the body
endurance against cardiovascular activities or even on the nutrition that might be best for the
sportspersons. This will naturally help in attracting the attention of the buyers. Thus the social
media marketing is increasing competition on one end and also trying to help the companies to
form customer loyalty.

Social media marketing is more about giving customers a lifelong or memorable kind of
experience. This helps the organization to form a personal touch or a persona; connection with
all their customers. This is because the platforms like Facebook, Instagram, snap chat have
launched many new and innovative kinds of features that are helping the brands to take the
buying experience for their customers to a totally new level. The live video option is one of the
new and very innovative approaches that are helping the customers to get a lifetime experience.
Social media marketing is one of the newest and dynamic technologies. Thus it is a very good
way of connecting with customers' far and wife. The live video option is helping to create and
dynamic type of content of its own.
The customers are able to share their ongoing live shopping experience with their
contacts and with the rest of the world. However (Mathews et al. 822) has argued that there are
some risks that might be faced by the organizations while they are trying to connect with their
audiences via social media marketing. If they cannot hook the customers or attar t them then

there is a chance that they might instantly switch over to any other company. Ashley, Christy and
Tracy Tuten (22) has also added in this context that the staffs who are using the live video option
for increasing their brand awareness have a stressful activity as they have to speak with the
audiences constantly throughout the live video (McClure, Auden et al.137) In other words they
have to keep on asking the customers about their feedbacks, opinions or solve their doubts.
Alalwan, Ali et al. (1178) has argued that social media marketing comes with its own set of
advantages. It helps the companies to use an online customer service platform. The customer’s
no longer have to face the trouble of waiting in the customer calling service. They can simply
tweet their complaints or twitter or leave their comments and feedback on the webpage or the
facebook pages of the brands or the companies (Kumar, Ashish et al.2)
These new features on social media marketing sites help the customers to establish a
more personal bond with their favorite brands as they are able to connect in a very deep way like
never before. It is a very easy and time optimizing, convenient way to stay updated about all the
information about the brands (Alalwan, Ali et al.1179) Virtual reality or there is becoming one of
the major aspects of the social media marketing or the internet marketing. This would help in
firming a major appeal to the customers. They would not only be able to get all the information
about a product but also get the virtual experience of using it (Felix et al.119). For an instance, if
any car company launches their products they might use the VR technology to make sure that
they are trying to give a special advantage to their customers by giving them not only details
about the product but also a lifetime experience.

I have learned from this article that social media marketing is one of the most important
and captivating ways of appealing to customers. Millennial like me always forms a strong bond
with these social media marketing platform. I have been able to connect my personal shopping
experience after reading this article. I spent most of my time on my smartphone over other
gadgets like laptop, iPad. The social media platforms like facebook, twitter and Instagram have
become the most important sites to gather quick updates about the recently launched products
and the discount offers as well.
I have also gained this knowledge that in order to establish my career in the marketing
department I will have to gain a very good knowledge of social media marketing or internet
marketing. This will be a very helpful thing for attracting the customer. In order to survive in this
highly competitive age, the companies have to offer their customers with certain services that
they won’t be getting from the other competitors. Thus, as a future marketing manager, I will
have to increase my knowledge over social media traffic handling, creating attractive and market
ready website content to attract the customers.
I have also learned that having a thorough knowledge about the upcoming scientific-
technological advancements like VR or the virtual reality, live video chats and other such
elements for adding some extra special effects to internet marketing. Getting a virtual
expectance of using any product will naturally attract a larger number of customers.
Conclusion
This it can be concluded that social media marketing or internet marketing is gaining
popularity at a rapidly advancing pace. All the well-known brands are trying to reach to their
customers via social media sites like facebook, snapchat, twitter, fashion blogs, and many other

such aspects. Content is becoming one of the major hooking tools for social media marketing.
These brands have to make sure that they have the best, crisp, creative and engaging content to
attract the customers. The social media marketing is also increasing the chances of competition
on the organizations as all of them are using the best-upgraded technology for appealing to their
customers.
