Subject: Trip Report from Social Media Camp Conference in Victoria, British Colombia
As you know that I had attended the social media conference held in Victoria from May 5
to 7 by the name of Social Media Camp Canada. It was delightful for me to attend that
conference as it was consisting of gathering of 50,000 Canadians. The conference was very
beneficial for me as it has got an opportunity to learn about various fields such as social
media marketing, e-learning, content marketing, communications and email marketing.
The report will summarize the details of the events that I attended and the contacts that I
made through the seminar.
Interactive Workshops
In the event, I got an opportunity to hear from high profile speakers who are professionals
in the field of content creating and business ownership. I made different contacts with the
people through the interactive conversation which is helpful for me to get the innovative
ideas that I can later apply to our company. I had received several benefits from the
workshops through getting the insights of the digital marketing and latest trends about the
marketing channels and the techniques.
Session Streams
The seminars and the events in the camp were consisted of the sessions which were divided
into beginner, intermediate and advanced level. I had got learnings and the knowledge
through the advanced sessions in which I had learnt various things and analytics regarding
digital marketing which has later helped me to maximize ROI. From the advanced
sessions, I have got the basic idea of fine tuning the campaigns and also optimizing my
company’s brand presence.
Social Events and Networking
From the SMC’s social events, I have made huge networks that will be helpful for
throughout the lifetime of our company. Also, the key takeaways include the sparking
connections through the interactive conversations that I made throughout the workshops
and events that I attended for three days. As a result, this will be helpful for our company
to gain excellence with respect to marketing field.
