1. My personal contribution to the topic selection and its approval till submission. How I can
explain it and learnt from it
This investigation is performed on impact of social media on consuming purchasing
habits. This investigation is performed in group of three individuals which are working in group
to make it appropriate for achieving targets of research. This topic is selected because this is the
most relevant topic in current era and we are using different social media platform for different
reasons, hence it is important to cover its importance in business context as well. We select this
topic after discussion because this topic assist in knowing what are benefits if we will use social
media platform for interacting with consumers and ways through which we dilute their mindset.
My personal contribution is to conduct research methodology section in which I have to study
different tools and techniques which we had used in this investigation. I personally studied
different techniques through which it is easy for me to provide justification behind using specific
technique. We are able to select appropriate topic which gets approved by tutors once only. We
are familiar with social media technologies, so it is easy for us to conduct this research with more
specification and appropriateness. I have good leadership and decision making skill with the help
pf which I can perform this investigation with cooperation of team mates. There is requirement
of improving my skills about communication and express myself in confident manner. I have
good monitoring skills which makes easy for me to understand view point of others.
My experience while conducting this investigation is god because there is proper
synchronization and tuning among us. We are able to complete this investigation within specified
time and conduct activities within deadlines. In this research we are able to learn many things
such as knowledge about different social media techniques, tools and techniques which affects
research techniques. Apart from technical knowledge we also learned about different skills such
as decision making, proper communication, leadership, team working, etc.
2. My personal contribution to the literature review report and its writing. How I experienced this
and what I learnt from it.
Literature review is the section in which we addressed set objectives in detailed format.
One of the team mates conduct this section which provides information about reason of
conducting this section and way to perform it. As per team mate this section is crucial because
this is important to understand whole investigation. My contribution in this section is not so
specific and relevant because I was only said to collect authentic information on social media

techniques. But my experience while conducting this section is very interesting because I have
learnt many different tings from which I was not aware. While working over this project, I am
able to understand that there are some weakness as well such as lack of knowledge about IT
techniques, time management which I get to know. But with working as team mates for this
investigation, I am able to understand the importance of these skills and I am able to improve it.
For instance, when I collect information about research methodology techniques, then I collect
information in electronic format. This makes easy for me to represent and use that information.
I learnt it from others that the way to write research, sources of collecting information,
importance of authentic data , etc. there is complete and relevant information which makes us
sure that information is collected properly and gathered in effective manner. I learnt literature
review in effective manner that if in future, similar research is allotted to me, then I can perform
literature review section with confidence and in appropriate manner. I am able to get knowledge
about ways through which arguments have to be addressed.
3. My personal contribution to the research methodology report. How I experienced this and
what I learnt from it.
This is the core research activity which I performed as this section is allotted to me.
Research methodology section is conducted after literature review in which there is discussion
about different tools and techniques which are used to make our study authentic. There are many
activities which are related to research and assist in completing it, hence this is important section
for our research. When this section is allotted to me, then I does not have any knowledge about
ways through which techniques are studied. I have learned about all the techniques which are
covered under research methodology i.e. research philosophy, approach, time horizon, research
methods, data collection, sampling, etc. with the help of which or research is appropriate and
relevant. I studied also about research methodology with the help of different sources such as old
investigation, books, internet sources, etc. through which I am able to make other team mates
understood about different techniques. There is use of all the techniques but there is difference in
their justification to use it. While studying I came to know about a framework “Research Onion”
through which research can be completed in effective manner. Now I able to provide justification
behind using a specific type of it.
While conducting this section, I am able to prefers to collect information through primary
sources because this is more authentic,. Newspaper and current journals have to be used for

collecting secondary data. I learnt to design questionnaire with the help of which information is
collected,subject of this topic is to analyse impact of social media on consumer buying behavior,
so information is collected through consumers of organizations. Hence my experience was good
and I am able to make communicate about techniques which are used with justification.
4. My reflections on the research experience, insights I gained, and any issues, struggles,
challenges, synergies I experienced, individually and in the teamwork
My overall experience while conducting this investigation is good because I am able to
learn many things with this investigation. I am able to learn knowledge about different
techniques which are specific and relevant or my near future as well. I am able lean about
practical as well as professional skills such research technique, data collection and interpretation,
etc. I feel that it is easy to conduct investigation in group because there is interchangeability of
ideas among different personality. When information is discussed among individuals, the I
observe that best is implemented and this assist in sharpening information of others as well.
I am able to represent myself confidentiality after this investigation. So this assist me to
get more growth opportunities in my career. Here are some issues as well such as social media is
common topic and we have different views over some topic. Hence in this case there is situation
of conflict among such. But we our maturity and conscious we jointly deal with this situation and
come at some specific view. This investigation assist me to build positive and long term relations
with team mates. If in future, similar opportunity will be provided us then we are ready to work
in group. I was the one who maintain positive environment through conducting innovative and
creative activities. This assist in refreshing our mood and we are able to get back to work with
same energy and concentration. While conducting this investigation, we give proper time to all
the activities such as social activity,fun activity, etc. through which we are able to understood
about each other and maintain proper communication.
With collecting information through tools and techniques as research methodology I will
perform investigation in future in most effective manner. As we are working team, so it is easy
for me in future to guide and direct team mates through which research outcomes can be
achieved. I have learned about different chapters which are covered while studying topics and at
the same time there is improvement in my data collection information. In this investigation, I
have to work within specified time which is allotted to me, so I am more punctual with regard to
time. For instance: I get to know about ways through which I can deal with people of different

mentality and make them agree at the same thing. In future I am able to communicate through
verbal and non- verbal mediums in effective manner which assist me on my personal and
professional terms.
5. My statement indicating which sections of this research project I personally wrote and what
you learned from this experience.
In this investigation, I wrote research methodology which provides me information about
different techniques which are used and its importance or justification. This makes easy for me to
present my view point in case of questions and revert from audience. I personally wrote this
section with understanding research methodology section properly and make clear about
different strategies and when they are used.
I feel that there is requirement of complete and specific knowledge through which I can
aware to my other team mates as well. There is use of complete and specific information about
different strategies which makes me this study appropriate and specific for future use as well. As
this study is conducted with proper understanding, so my experience is positive because this
provides me more opportunities of learning and core skill which I learned is to handle negative
situation patiently.
In future, if research is allotted to me as individual;s, then I can perform it in effective
manner because I gain knowledge about different chapters. While conducting this study, I am
able to make positive and familiar relations with team mates, so they help me in future to
understand different chapters. For instance: I have to make decision regarding selection of
research philosophy, approach, etc. so I sharp my decision making skills. I am able to give
justification behind methodologies which I have selected. So in future, as per topic I prefers to
select technique.
