face book. The research shows that teenagers often try to socialize with other a particularly with
the people of the opposite sex. This shows that the face book users who fall under the category of

[people that they are looking for. 87.1% uses social networks on a daily basis and 57.1% two
hours and more daily, but the majority finds enough time to go out. It is alarming that 53% of the
teenagers sacrifice their sleeping and studying time to find time to use social networks (Botou &
Marsellos, 2018). This shows that as face book helped the teenagers to socialize, at the same
time, it also hampers their sleep and also the time that they would have otherwise used for any
kinds of physical activities.

The online social networking sites like faebook, twitter and other such platforms helps the young
generation to stay in a proper contact with each other irrespective of the geographical barriers
and also there is a exchange of newer and innovative ideas. It is for this reason that the online
social networking sites like that of face book have become highly popular among the young
generation of people (Ophir, Asterhan, Schwarz, 2019). However this platform is also giving rise
to a large number of negative symptoms among youth as well. Teenagers are often suffering
from depressions after sing face book for a long time. As face book is a Universal platform, often
the users suffer from much such discrimination from others. These can take place via some
negative comments or posts being uploaded in face book. Parents, family members and the care
givers are often not capable of understanding the different mind state or the emotional battles
that are going on among their children. It is because of this reason that researchers say the
emotional state of teenagers are often understood from the posts and the tone in which they are
writing their posts.

Adolescents or the teenagers often suffer from stress and other such conditions. However this
article deals with the fact that often these emotional imbalances or stress disorders give rise to

reactions on their pictures or on their posts. This indeed creates a positive feeling. However at
the same time, they also feel that these likes or these reactions might be false or unreal. As a
result of this, there is a feeling of expression and also anxiety among the teenagers. This in turn
is making the teenagers actually vulnerable towards the negative experiences that are present on

positive reactions or likes on the newsfeed are reduced then the user automatically stops posting
any further positive posts. This shows that the individual is getting stressed and there is actually
a lack of them in person or the social support that is actually needed.

Face book is one of the most popular online sites among individuals. However there are also
some dark or negative assets. One among them is trolling. This is because of the fact that trolling
creates a huge negative impact on the mental well being of the user or the individual. As
teenagers have an affinity towards posting the new picture or any other life stories on face book,
they expect a kind of reaction on their posts (Craker & March, 2016).The responses from the
other users usually come in the form of reactions or any kinds of messages. Teenagers often
become the victims of trolling. This happens when people from any other country or any other
communities tries to throw some derogatory comments or some kinds of negative comments
towards them. This can happen due to the racial or the ethnic differences as well.

The users are often not ready to share their personal details and their personal updates on the
facebook or other online sites. This is not always right because this makes the personal details
available to all. Anyone can use those details and might make a bad use of the same. This is
often used to troll the user and this trolling often becomes constant and keeps on haunting the
user a great deal. They are not able to share the same with their parents and suffer in silence.

about the incidents of cyber bullying that might take place. Cyber bullying is a way through
which a certain group of people may try to disturb others by throwing some unnecessary or
negative comments (Myers et al., 2017). This is really bad because this might actually have a
very negative impact on the teenagers. This is because teenagers are the most vulnerable and
they often cannot feely open up with their families regarding the issues they face on the internet
or in the face book and other such platforms. In person bullies are often said to be more common
that in comparison to the cyber bullying. However, this has also been reported that youth or
teenagers face cyber bullying and consider it as more impactful on the, they also fear that if they
have this with their families or adults then they might no longer be able to use this service.

This article is talking about the different health impacts like eating disorders that are developing
among the teenagers due to the usage of the social networking sites like facbook. Friends on
facebook are one of the most important topics that have been dealt with. This topic is talking
about the body shamming and the other problems that the teenagers often have to face while they
are interacting with so many people in face book (Holland & Tiggemann, 2016). Often the
teenagers suffer from an inferiority complex while they see their friends on face book. This is
because some girls belong from some other country or community might appear very beautiful or
thin. This might give rise to a feeling of anxiety among another teenage girl. She might think that
she is not pretty enough. This in turn develops the eating disorders. There are also other
activities like that of thinness, internalization of beauty and others. In the act of gaining these, the
teenagers often try to give up eating on time and resort to excessive amount of exercise and skip
their meals as well.

negative emotions. Seeing some negative posts on face book creates a negative impact on the
psyche of the teenagers and similarly seeing some positive or happy posts on facebook gives rise

impacts.
Self-confidence and dispositional envy are instrumental in producing Face book envy. Therefore
parents or the care givers’ must try to develop a transparent relationship with their teenager
children and help them to share their experiences on facebook and other social sites

develop the concept of plat formed racism. In other words they are trying to develop many hate
speech and also inducing some political biasness among the youth or the teenagers. Different
political parties and anti parties are posting their own views and norms against each other. This
will be creating many hateful speech against one another and also induce hate among the
members of many societies and organizations. April 2015, Face book banned the trailer of a new
Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) comedy show that attempted to confront white
frames on Aboriginality with humor (Matamoros-Fernández, 2017). However after this was
banned there were several opinions. The Indigenous activist and writer Celeste Liddle posted the
video in her Face book page as a counter attack saying that she feels the face book standards are
biased. These are the ways in which they try to develop some hateful comments towards each

In the current scenario face book and other such platforms have changed the ways in which
people react to politics. Teenagers are now developing their general knowledge at a very rapid
rate. This is because of the fact that they are being exposed to different political news and
agendas in face book (Greenwood, Sorenson & Warner, 2016). Though they often eek out only
entertainment news but often while searching for it they get to see many new content being
developed. The likely impact is that this helps the teenagers to understand about the different
political incidents taking place. This increases their knowledge on one hand but at the same time
they might also be exposed towards some of the hate speeches. However there is the chance of
using the options of opting out as well. This useful as it helps in personalizing the choices that
they need.
