Social media is the web-based and mobile-based technology which is mainly used to convert
interaction into communicative dialogue within an organization, society as well as individuals
(Duggan and et. Al., 2015). This will assist in sharing common ideas, opinions, and data with the
help of developing virtual networks and communities effectively.

Main Body
In positive impact, Social media and digital technology assist in connecting people all over the
world. This will help people easily communicate with their relatives, family, and colleagues.
This will enhance self-confidence by allowing the shy person to express their ideas towards a
large audience (Fuchs, 2017).
Negative impact occurs due to social media, it is very hard for people to maintain the privacy and
safety of their private account. There are various negative effects of social media such as false
information, lack of privacy, hack the personal details and so more.
With the effect of social media, an individual does not properly communicate with their children,
spouse, friends and many more (Allcott and Gentzkow, 2017). When users are spend more time
on social media so this will directly impact on their daily life.

Conclusion
It can be concluded that social media and digital technology is one of the important methods
which help people in making a strong connection with their close friends. But this is positively
and negatively impact on personal relationship in a better manner.
