1.Social media is a critical way in which people tend to communicate in life (Perrin, 2015). It is
often used as a medium through which the works related to corporations and government tends

However, the presence of the individual should not be considered by the employers while
making decisions that will be having a great impact on the career. The skill of the individual
might be much more than what is being represented in social media. On the other hand, the skills
of the individual might be not as much as it has been represented in the social media, therefore
when actions are being taken based on the wrong presence of the social media, it may lead to
various wrong decisions which might affect the company in the future progress.
The social media presence is how an individual engage themselves in their social media
accounts. The image that is gained of mine through my activity in social media is that I
am very much active. It gives the expression to the others that I am good at giving good
customer service. Being active always makes others believe that I am good at generating
leads and expanding the audience. In order to make my social presence more
professional, I must complete the social profiles instead of leaving it incomplete. Samples
of the work that has been completed can also be included for the purpose. The blog page
or website acts as a bonus.
It is very important to have a strong online presence. It is considered to be an important
marketing strategy for all types of business, irrespective of its size. Online presence is
significant in outbound marketing because it tends to strengthen the brand and even the
assumption of the offer it tends to provide to the market which is being targeted.
2. One of the peers posted the fact that the decisions must be made as per the social impression
of the individual. According to the peer, the efforts that one puts in building the social image

must be appreciated. It must be seen as the marketing strategy to build up a reputation. I as an
individual, do feel that the social image do plays a great role in building up a reputation in the
present scenario. One must act by the present trend to get huge success in life. However, the
skills of the present life must not be ignored and valued.
However, the other peer posted the fact that the decisions must not be made as per the
impression of the social image. The image created in social media might be fake and not true to
its means. It might be organized and created in the way to build trust but is untrue to its
promises. For example, the social image of the peer claims that the individual can speak French.
Based on the social image created, he was being recruited. It is only later that it was being known
that he does not have prior knowledge of the subject but a basic idea about it. Therefore, from
this post, it became clear to me that though having a good social image might be the new
marketing strategy, yet having the right skills is equally important. The social image will help in
gaining immediate momentum but will not help in the long run.
