Introduction
Different types of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest,
Instagram and LinkedIn are evaluated to be very user-friendly in nature. They help in easy
uploading, sharing, reacting and also in storing different contents for future uses (White,
King, & Tsang, 2011).
Social Media Profiling
Building and development of social media profiles ideally contributes in socialising and
enhancing one’s presence in the greater society. The key to development of effective social
media profiles is to integrate the same with day-to-day communication platforms such that
whenever the communication platform is used it simultaneously reflects on the presence of
the individual in different social media networks. It is thereby required to display one’s links
to diverse social media platforms on websites, business cards and also along the signature
files of electronic mails. The use of the above tactics would contribute in generating greater
visibility of employers, clients, friends, colleagues and relatives to an individual’s presence in

thus requires making rational choices of photos and posts for attracting potential audiences

Employers nowadays are focusing on employing different social media platforms to gain an
effective understanding of the personality than the information gained by them by means of
