2. Impact of social media and digital technology on personal relationship
Introduction
Social media play a very important role in the life of people and hence this plan would be
based on the impact of social media and digital technology on the personal relationship. In order
to create this plan various information has been taken from different sources(Arampatzi, Burger,
and Novik, 2018).
Main body
Social media is a digital technology or platform where a person can form community or
network. The use of social media is increasing day by day. Digital technology has become the
wide platform where people can come together and share their ideas, opinions, feelings and
moments with each other(Billedo, Kerkhof and Finkenauer, 2015). Since their use has been
increasing and quite common nowadays, this has created a necessity in discussing the various
positive and negative aspects associated with it on the personal relationship of an individual and
work on it to improve their relationship.
Social media is a part of digital technology and includes facebook, whatsapp, instagram,
etc. All the negative aspects of it can be tackled by creating the awareness in the youth and
explaining them the need to overcome it, in order to improve the quality of life. Using social
media and digital technology has become the recent trend in the world and majority of the
population is addicted to it(Wood, Bukowski and Lis, 2016).
Conclusion
From the above essay plan, it has been summarised as though the use of social media is
increasing, it has encouraged various effects with it. With the increase in its working positive
effects has encouraged improvement in personal relationship such as a person is much more
satisfied and happy. On the other hand, negative effects hinder the growth of personal
relationship.

Introduction
Child sexual abuse is also known as child molestation. It is a situation where an adult
forces a child to enter into sex to satisfy his/ her sexual needs. Child sexual abuse arises when a
child is forced to do sex without his/her consent(Cantón-Cortés, Cortés and Cantón, 2015).
Main body
This issue is very important to be discussed as many children in the world are dealing
with this problem and efforts should be made to aware the public regarding this issue and
encouraging them to take actions to overcome this issue which has concerned the entire globe
and harming the children(Beier and et.al., 2015). The essay will be covering both causes and
consequences of child abuse with respect to the present conditions in various parts of the world.

ESSAY 1
2. Positive and negative effects of social media and digital technology on personal relationship
Introduction
Nowadays social media and digital technology has a huge impact on the life of individual
and has both positive as well as negative effects(The impact of social media on relationships,
2017). It is very important to have a complete knowledge of all these effects so as to groom the
personal relationship and these effects would be discussed in the below essay( Brooks, 2015).
Positive effects
Positive effects of digital technology on personal relationship of an individual are that it
helps to keep a person happy because a person shares all his/her positive moments on social
media or any other digital platform which helps in developing the feeling of satisfaction and self
esteem in the mind of employees which in turn helps in grooming the relationship as a person
who is happy will also contribute in keeping his/her loved ones happy(Carr and Hayes, 2015).
Apart from this, the other major positive effect of using social media is that it helps in
maintaining and growing the long distance relationship as by the use of digital technology one
can easily connect with their family, friends or their partner. Furthermore, it is very helpful for
people who avoid face to face interaction because by the help of social media they can easily
communicate and link with people and make new friends(Cheung, Lee and Chan, 2015).
Negative effects
Negative effects of social media include spending less time with our loved ones as the
person remain continuously hooked up on using digital technology rather than working on
sustaining their relationship by keeping the communication open which in turn results in
bringing distance in a relationship. Apart from this, it has been found that relationships that are
formed on social media does not stay for long as compared to those relationships which are
formed face to face. Even it may lead to emotion turmoil of an individual when a person trust the
other blindly that is only on the basis of their social media activities(Zolkepli and
Kamarulzaman, 2015). Moreover, relationship may spoil because of misunderstanding on the

basis of their social media conversation and things remaining uncleared which would hurt or lead
to breaking down of an individual emotionally.
Conclusion
Hence, from the above essay it can be summarised that positive impact of social media on
personal relation helps in keeping people linked, fostering long distance relationship, satisfaction
of individuals self esteem contributes towards maintaining or sustaining relationships. On the
other hand, negative aspects such as less communication, spending less time, no face to face
communication, trusting people blindly hinders the healthy relationships.

them(Krahé and Berger, 2017). Sexual abuse is quite common nowadays and this is quite evident
from the fact that out of every 4 girl one girl is sexually abused and out of every 9 boys one is
sexually abused below the age of 18 and 21 respectively(Amado, Arce and Herraiz, 2015).
Psychological theory focuses on the psychological qualities of the abuser. It takes into
consideration understanding of thoughts, behaviour and emotions. The other causes include
abusers who are suffering from a disease, in which they view themselves as kinds and have a
strong desire of sex with kids, this problem is known as paedophilia. Moreover, it is found that
most of the victim kids are those kinds which are an easy prey such as children who are poor or
those kids which keep themselves isolated from rest of the people, interact less with family and
friend. Furthermore, surveys report that kids are usually abused by those abusers whom they trust
the most that is they are the people whom they know and have close connections(Maniglio,
2015).
Consequences of child sexual abuse
Child sexual abuse has both long term consequences as well as short term consequences.
Short term consequences include depression, anxiety, eating disorder, poor self esteem, sleeping
disorder, unwillingness to go to school and restricting the child from taking part in any activity
or attending social functions(Renvoize, 2017). On the other hand, long term consequences are
those consequences which leave an impact on a child for more than 2 years that is it may even
impact or harm the child lifetime. These consequences include insomnia, anxiety attacks and self
destruction such as alcoholism and drug addiction. The major consequence of the child suffering
from sexual abuse is the fear and anger towards the person who has abused them or towards the
person who resemble the characteristics similar to the abuser. This is turn leads to difficulties in
maintaining relationships, adult sexual functioning and the feeling of victimisation(Ng and et.al.,
2018).
Conclusion
Hence, from the above essay it can be summarised that child sexual abuse is a big crime
and has serious consequences which harm the children such as anxiety, depression, etc. The main
cause of child sexual abuse is the sexual desire of abuser.
