REFLECTIVE 1
Reflective learning:
As far as the learning experience of the course is considered, it has been analysed that I have
learnt a lot from this research. I have realised that making the research projects and conducting
research about the topic is very effective in getting the knowledge about the topic rather than
reading about that topic. This is because conducting the research helps in analysing the various
aspect of that topic along with conducting the new research. I had a very good learning
experience during the overall course because I have developed my knowledge about social media
which is the very important and the essential topic to talk about these days. It is not only serving
the people at individual level but has become very important for businesses. This research is very
valuable because it has provided different types opportunities for the business to be explored in
the field of social networking. This is because this research has provided that information about
the advantages and the disadvantages of using social networking. It has been analysed that
involving the social media networking mediums helps in developing the business activities and
especially the marketing sector of the company. I have thought of social networking as a medium
to interact with the people but it is much more than that.
This learning process and the experience that I have got at the time of making this research are
very useful for me in different phases of my life. As far as the course and my academic life is
concerned, this research has given me so much of knowledge about social networking that now
can be on some of the sites to get the educational knowledge because there are many sites
available for the people to have educational related material. In the whole program, tis research
would be helpful for me because social networking is the topic that is reacted to each and every
sector of life whether it is personal or professional. Even the professional people have to make
their accounts on some of the social networking sites to be linked with the other professional
people. This also helps in knowledge sharing purpose. Now, I have also realised that social
media is playing a great role in framing the career. This is because the job seekers are making
their profiles on the social networking sites so that the companies can find them and their profile
over the net and contact them to appear for the interviews. This suggests that in every phase that
is life or profession, learning about social networking is helping me and the other people to use it
features for availing many benefits.

As far as the whole research process is concerned, it has been analysed that I have done full
study on the topic. Earlier when I started the study, I was not too much interested but after
reading about the experience and the features of social media networking for businesses, I was
shocked and developed interest in the subject. I read many case studies of the business to find out
the advantages and disadvantages of the social media networks for business. I have realised that
although social media is providing number of benefits to the people and business but there ream
nay disadvantages that are were also experienced by the people and the businesses. There are
many benefits and disadvantages that are being discussed in the research. Even the literature
review of the research has discussed about the theories of social networking, I have read those
theories and relate those theories to the practical examples of the businesses. I have also talked
about my peers to understand their perception about the social networking media and sites and
their use for them.
In terms of learning, I have realised that conducting research on this topic has proved to be very
beneficial for me in learning the research methodology and process. The major aim of this course
of the program was to understand the different method of research and the process of the
research. It has been analysed that I have made research by reading many materials and thus I
have got a lot of knowledge about the different and associated aspects of the topic. I have
observed that many small scale businesses are making use of social networking sites rather that
the big organizations. This is because big organizational already have their brand image and
market presence but small organizations have to make their brand image and thus have to use
many marketing strategies in order to achieve their marketing targets. Understanding the topic o
social media have developed my personal knowledge about the topic and also allowed me to
understand the research process.
It has been analysed that learning process that I have experienced is very beneficial to develop
my knowledge. It has been analysed that I have conducted this research and used different
methods to analyse and collect the data. Interviews and questionnaires are the methods that have
been used to collect the data so that the details and the thinking of most of the managers from the
organizations can be observed. It has been analysed that I have used these methods so that
different aspects of the topic has been covered through these methods. Interviews of the
managers from the different departments of the companies helps in analysing the knowledge of

the managers regarding the topic and the profits and loss they have faced after using social media
networks in their functions. Using the specific sampling methods and research methods has
helped me connecting the research systematically. This enhances the flow of information and
also helps in storing the data used. Reliability of the occlusion of research is also increased by
using specific methods for research. The whole research has helped me in learning about the
benefits that I can also avail by using different social media sites and also helped in keeping my
accounts secured by the false produces that the people are doing with the social networking
accounts.
I have two types of learning from this research project. The one regarding the topic and the other
is regarding the research methods and the whole process that is followed to conduct any research.
I have conclude from the research that social media is not just limited to provide the benefits of
making interaction and communication with the other person but also allow the business o use its
features for business courses especially marketing. Not only has the interaction between the
customer and the company but it also allowed the companies to develop the connection between
the employees. This enhances the internal communication in the organization and helps in
increasing the flow of information. I will definitely make my own profile for professional as well
as personal use. I have also concluded that I should use this facility for developing my business
in future if I own any. I would love to conduct my business activities online so that I can make a
greater reach of my business in education also. I can connect with many great educators so that I
can have their study materials. I have realised that using social media require a proper skills so I
will make sure that first I will study about the topic in depth and take a proper professional
training before implementing such tools unprofessional and personal life.
