communications to the world. In social media mainly students can get highly involved to engage
with the communities. Now days students can highly rely on the information that can be travel
through the social media and learn and retain that from a longer period of time. In this students
can performed the multitasking where they can try to check the several information and also
spend too much time within this. This will reduce the overall academic performance and
impacted on their future. Some of the negative impact can be shown below:
Anxiety – Because of social media students can highly focus on what other students are
to be doing right now and in this they can spend their most of the time. Due to this they
will become victims of the depression and anxiety which highly affect the thought
process. For Instance- If a college going student are highly focused on using the social
media and attracts what their classmates and friend are doing and to match them they can
do the same things which are wrong. It will affect their thought process and due to this
they can face high depression(Alt, 2018).

students is the sleep deprivation. In this they can highly worried about the friends that
what they are posting and sharing the information. Due to this their academics are to be
reflected in major way. For instance- If a student can have a large number of group at that
time he/ she are always worried about what their friends are to be shared related to
her/him. It will reduce their academic skill and also reduce their sleeping which is more
