With the current technologies, people are less communicating in person. This network
can be the cause of harm, especially in cultural and traditional values. The rise of communication
web sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and emails has replaced traditional personal
interactions for the current generations. Although efforts have been made through social
gathering and cultural heritages to discourage excessive use of modern technology to maintain
cultural setups. The critical purpose of the creation of social networks is to enable people to
communicate and pass message fast (Luppicini, 2014). Which is current losing meaning in
consideration of cultural heritage. There are many reasons why these communication
technologies are being used, but communication is a critical factor. This paper will analyse the
use of the social network as the primary way of discussion in the current generation.
Social network not only enhance communication but also improves our interactions with
one another. Supporters of social networks argue that social networks strengthen our cooperation
with one another and promote social interaction (Jyotsana, 2018). This interaction can be
extended not only within the societal bases but also worldwide. People are now interacting freely
within the globe promoting globalisation. The researcher argues that due to current innovation on
communication channels, the future prospectus conditions can be very alarming. People are
likely to be lazy, although using the promoted new platforms. Social networks allow an
individual to have a thousand friends, especially Facebook (Khosrow-Pour, 2014). Although
these friendly might no more than strangers. Some online users are indirectly creating a social
identity which is not quite like their own identities. Other use fake accounts with evil intentions
or intimating other social network users.

An average person can be subjected to influences that can alter ideologies of the original
self. This will affect social life. Many website users can have access to our websites for different
reasons. Some are triggered by the similarities in the kind of music we listen to or sort of
television channel we do watch frequently (Beldhuis, 2012). The website has further allowed
social network member to form socialising groups, which enables themselves to hire their
problem and seek to advise across the globe. We usually spend more time online when we are
supposed to spend time with our close friends physically. This lack of commitment in our lives
leads to shallower friendships, or even losing our friend by social networking. Many people care
about a Facebook friend, yet they also don't know where their lives look like. When online users
share their personal information, with a positive attitude, the data is shared with both strong and
weak ties (George, 2011). However, because they are more of the strong relationships, they feel
better about themselves with positive information receives with strong ties.
There are currently over 3 billion users worldwide, which makes over 30% of the total
world population (James, 2017). This means theirs of the world population are using social
media to communicate. The social network has attractive business prospects. Many people are
using social platforms for marketing their good and services. Due to an increase in competition
level amongst businesses across the world, marketing becomes invertible. Companies can
survive without selling their products. The continuous improvement of social networks has led to
improved channels of advertisements. Modifications of different ideas in online setups have
created a platform for the buyers to meet their sellers. It is now possible to communicate and sell
products outside the world irrespective of the distance (ward, 2009). Facebook is the pioneer to
the today communication and interaction channels. It allows people to connect with their friends,
relatives across the world. It is also very cheap especially for the firms whose the targeted

customers are the youth. This reveals Research statistics reveals that more than 80% of the
world population are the youth. This generation is the most vulnerable in the usage of social
network platforms. This shows that Facebook opens up a new channel of digital advertisement
and marketing.
With more than 330 million followers, Twitter is regarded to be the fasted mode of
passing information across the world (P.Mazer, 2018). This critical aspect of marketing and
hashtag, which creates wide popularity in terms of engaging in mass activities or criticising
individuals. Snapchat is also another social media platform, available in mobile applications.
These channels of communication are tentatively engaging people in many businesses. People
can hold a discussion, evaluate performance and generate ideas using the communication
channels. Social media creates a sense and a need to share. Since its creation, Facebook has
created a place for sharing ideas or anything from genius thoughts. Facebook and Twitter have
manifested the need to broadcast our lives continuously. Twitter has gained popularity after
becoming known to celebrities sharing what they do even if it is sharing from bath taps. The
information is passed very fast, and immediate feedback is given. In essential communication,
people transmit data and receive immediate feedback (L.Austin, 2017). The combination of
browsing and emailing has though allowed despatchers and receivers to investigate and
understand the concept before answering.
Social media has permitted individuals from all over flora and fauna to share their stories.
Besides internet linking the biosphere, it has set a basis for people to express their idea and
perceptions to the foreigners — snapshots used for educational purposes. Higher learning
students, this platform is the basic ideal towards sharing of events and community outreaches.
The social media platforms are likely to share full stories instead of brief highlights. With

communication platform where victims can get immediate feedback and responses. Customizing
digital message especially in Instagram and snapchat makes information so personal.
Both media house and other communication organisation are currently using social media
to pass information to the people. These days it’s completely normal to meet someone and later
take time to meet online especially in Facebook and send them a friend request. The social
network has expanded from sites where a person can list and connect to the friend and became a
good avenue for connecting personally and professionally. A viral platform Linked is used for
professionalism, in which professional meet and build each other.
The concept of a social network is alarming over the whole world for the past few years.
People without social knowledge are likely to be termed outdated and he or she does not get any
update thus they are left behind. Despite the challenges in social communications, social media
has become one of the most popular platforms in the whole world. The discussion of social
network is expected to improve further if the same ideas are used in developing more suitable
platforms to be used in the whole world. Government and private institutions are using the social
network to embrace internet communication. The future of communication industry lies in the
current innovations.
