This assignment presents a thematic analysis of qualitative data collected through semi-structured interviews, focusing on the research question: "How obedience and compliance in response to authoritative demands can be overruled by shared social identity." The analysis identifies key themes such as "My society," "Cognitive dissonance," "Social stratification and class conflict," "About college," "My family," and "Cohesion." Subthemes under each major theme, like inequality, accessibility of resources, conformity, social support, and family dynamics, are explored. The document includes a thematic map and excerpts from participant responses, illustrating the interplay of social influences, obedience, and the impact of shared social identity. The analysis highlights how individual experiences and perceptions are shaped by group dynamics, social hierarchies, and the struggle for social equity, as well as the impact of the family, and the college environment.
