Part A
There are different techniques of persuading someone which include Bait and Switch as
well as that’s not all technique. “Bait and switch” technique ensure that an extremely favorable
deal is offered to the person being persuaded and once the person gets committed to the deal the
person offering the favor brings in additional demands which obviously he or she expects to be
greatly considered and eventually fulfilled (Wahl, 2017). Secondly, “that’s not all” technique
ensures that an offer is given to the person being persuaded and even before the person replies or
rather reacts to the offer, another offer is given to him or her (Wahl, 2017).
Part B
There are a number of times I was greatly influenced by these techniques. The first time
was when I was joining The University of Oxford. My parents applied that’s not all technique as
a way of persuading me to work hard and smart in school. The other technique of bait and switch
influenced me to get a spouse (Wahl, 2017). A man offered me a job opportunity in his large
company of foods and beverages and out of the great need of money I accepted the deal to work
in his company. Later the man expressed his feelings towards me and with time we agreed to
settle as a couple.
Part C
Once I was persuaded I felt good in that I was convinced in my mind that am a worthy person.
This built my self-esteem and confidence (Futter, 2014).

Yes, I think the other parties were employing the persuasive techniques. For instance, the man
who offered me a job in his mind knew that he had a crush on me and the only way to access me
was to help me get a job (Futter, 2014)

Generally, the experience was positive. This is because, at the end of application of the
persuasive techniques, the results were appealing (Futter, 2014).
