et al., 2018, p 178). This paper addresses the roles and powers of social science in creating a
balance between world issues and humanity and justification of social sciences in creating a
cohesive society.
Social sciences relate human behavior to society. It works with defined values to
determine society's dynamics, traditions, and cultural beliefs. The benefits bring adjustments
between the set of rules and actions to take before disrupting societal order. Behavior values such
as unavoidability, necessity, and desirability that result make society to becoming compact (Poe
et al., 2018, p 178). Unavoidability provides checks for human culture and communications; it is
certain and ineluctable and forms the criterion of benchmarked with other societies. Finally,
necessity and desirability help in making considerate decisions between just and realm hence
cohesion. In general, values and behaviors play a vital role in shaping society for humanity.
Social science evokes critical thinking about human interactions in various disciplines;
this includes federal states, local government, and international organizations. Department of the

social science is a psychology science that can be used to tackle environmental problems. It helps
provide a narrative about people’s behavior and the implications of such behaviors in relation to
a situation. It can also be used in boosting the economy by evaluating policies in an attempt to
find remedies to economic problems (Chauke. 2019 p 63). Policies on racism and natural
resource disasters can be directed to scholarly works of social scientists such as psychologists to
find correct information, devising ethical frameworks, and the use of artificial intelligence.
In the bid to fight world pandemics such as COVID-19 (Coronavirus), sociologists
‘expert voices can be used in policymaking. Their voices can be used to providing advice,
checks, and rational pertaining to the sharing of resources, enacted policies on legal and
commercial issues affecting the globe in the mid of COVID-19 pandemic. In a nutshell
department of social sciences provides expert advice in the considerations of the balance
between public opinion, political demands, economic sanctions, political demands, and world
pandemics (Chauke. 2019 p 63). It is then evident that without social science, technology, and
other hard sciences can only do little to solve social problems.
