The concept of social science in the wider sense helps in studying and understand the
manner in which individual behave and how it influences the aspect in the social world. It helps

changes in society can help in improving the lives of others in the society and to what extent.

educators to capitalize on these interests and carefully plan a variety of experiences with social
studies in mind in order to cultivate and extend a young child's deserve skills and ability which
will allow them to form and voice their opinions along with providing them the ability to solve
problems and perceive diversity and inequality. The overall foundation for an early childhood
education is based upon the relationship that the child develops relative to their homes,
community along with schools (Qvortrup., 2020). In context to mentioned setting the child meets
new friends and learns how to get along with others as they share their opinions and engage in
decision making.
The concept of social studies offers various valuable component in supporting early
childhood learning as it is able to identify real world problems and is involved in developing an
inclusive along with a caring democratic society. Through social studies a child is able to explore
and he curious to ask question about social systems and norms long with value that affect human

relationship and interaction in everyday life. The child is able to lead non-verbal social cues that
reflect in the form of bias, discrimination along with inequality. This allows in the develop of
children and ensures that they will become responsible human being with regard for other living
things. In addition to this, it allows the society to grow as a whole where other individuals are
perceived as equals and opinion and through are shared in a non-bias manner in order to resolve
issues effectively. If the concept of social science is eliminated or not present in an structured
manner, it have have a negative impact on the early childhood of children as it will lead to
development of values which will not be accepted by the society and can potential lead to a life
of violence as well as crime for the children in the future.
The missing element of social science will result in an improper development of children
in aspects such as values and how they perceived the society (Nutbrown., 2018). It can lead to
the development of feelings that are based on hate and anger for others in the society. Moreover,
it will lead to the degradation of the society as whole and result in ineffective understanding of
each others lives resulting in the element of understanding one's behaviour for the betterment of

Health and well-being
The social science can allows in effective interpretation of medical statistics along with
the evaluation of health care polices, social scientistic which will help in ensuring that out health
care system work in an effective manner and at optimal levels. Through social science an
individual can gain information that is necessary for understanding the importance of health and
develop a balance diet. This involves the aspect of social science as it will help in looking further
into aspects such as geographic, economic as well as social factors and how they impact health

and health advice to be tailored according to an individual based on their social circumstance.
Although it is understandable that why so many individuals in the society underestimate the
overall importance of social and behavioural determinants of health.
The overall society is saturates with commercial medications, devices along with health
care facilities. On the contrary, social and behavioural contribution to health and disease
management are not well advertised and are often left in the background (Roy and Farmer. eds.,
2021). Social science also helps in understanding that various health influences occur above the
level of the individuals and outside the healthcare systems. The aspects such as economics

various systems are factors that are identified and have an influence relative to the health on the
population. This makes the concept of social science is crucial for the society as it allows
individual to better understand the importance of health along with how various factors impact
the heath of individuals. It provide an opportunity for everyone to come together and promote
health & well-being in order to promote a better lifestyle. In addition to this, it also provide vital
assistance in understanding aspect that can be eliminated in order to develop a more suitable and
appropriate society that is concerned with its health resulting in better living stands and potential
increase in the overall lifespan of individuals, the inability to understand the impact of health and
well-bing through social science can lead to various negative implication such as biased in health
care along with accessibility of medical facilitates to individuals who are less fortunate.
This will develop a division within the society and develop a line that will divide
individuals on the based of accessibility of better health care resources. Moreover, with the
absence of social science in heath and well being, it will be difficult to make individuals
understand the overall vital impacts of their own health and how it can impact the society as a
whole. It can lead to aspects such as increased in diseases along with decreased life span of
individuals. This can be catastrophic for a society and will lead to damage that will be hard to
