Introduction
Disabled people are those who cannot effectively function maybe due to mental illness,
physical impairment and some other illnesses. Such example of persons is found worldwide. For
example, a case study of Disabled people in Canada where their illnesses are traced, diagnosed
and they later get helped though they also encounter some major impacts in their lifestyles.
a. Do they need help?
Yes, they need help and more so in employment and education fields. In private sector, the
disabled are to be offered adequate Training and education. This should help prevent the negative
results that may rise alongside their employment. On the other hand, government sector should
come up with several programmes and policies (Prince, 2009). These are to enable means of
employment and higher secondary education in order to nurture the work force participation of
disabled individuals so as to reduce the physical and mental hindrance.
b. How they are treated
In both private and government sectors, the disabled are obliged to equal treatment in terms of
sex, age, colour and ethnic groups. The government should therefore not discriminate any of
them in the presence of the law. In private sector, programmes are initiated to improve on
employment opportunities for individuals with mental or physical disabilities. While giving out
jobs, one should not show pity to the disabled. One should also think before saying anything.
This is to be aware whether it will lead to a positive or negative impact to the disabled.

c. Criminals/high and low risks.
Most disabled individuals tend to face physical and social barriers. These may prevent them
from accessing services or job opportunities and they may end up not enjoying the benefits of
their rights (Stanilard, 2010). They are also most likely to live in poverty and in this case the
entire household is affected.
d. Pros and corns.
The disabled individuals who are employed are given Canada Pension Plan Disability and
Workers' Compensation as sources of their income supports. They are also provided with
Disability Tax Credit as Tax measures, Protective legislations and disability strategies. In
contrary, Disabled Canadians are regularly experiencing barriers such as low income levels of
employment. The household and the disabled faces poor living conditions, health and nutrition
and poor access to health services.
