Role and responsibilities of social workers
 Role and responsibilities of health and social care professionals is to further bring on essential care for individual facing
conflicts, provide medical assistance and also improvise health and social care services (Monrouxe and Rees, 2017).
 Ola, is pupil at Alex Primary school and has Dyslexia and is known to social services, where nurse provides treatment and asks
about Ola injury. The nine Belbin team roles are: shaper, implementer, completer/finisher, co-ordinator, team worker, resource
investigator, monitor-evaluator, specialist roles and plants role (Belbin, 2010).
 Within case study, Ola young girl is suffering from Dyslexia and is neglected by parents. The social worker has to be actively
taking specific care for Ola by providing counselling and also being polite, courteous.
 Problem solving and care for Ola, so she doesn’t feel neglected.
 Information and medical support.
 Providing audio books as an alternative to reading to Ola , so she is able to improvise Dyslexia.

 Care for individual facing trouble of conflict in various relationships
 People facing challenges of old age
 Individuals with mental disabilities or distress
 Addicts of alcohol or other drugs
 Physically disabled people having independence issues and facing isolation from society (Kunzler and

 Shaper- Social worker, role is to provide treatment and injury was sustained

 Implementer- Parents, to further identify medical specifics preferences of
Ola where implementer need to organise treatment effectively.
 Completer/finisher- School nurse, role is to completely provide accurate
check within social services (Choi and et.al, 2020).
 Co-ordinator- Speech and language therapist – Role is to improvise
dyslexia and provide immediate assistance in proper speech abilities

 Advantages of multi-disciplinary team working specifics as per case study enables to further enhance patient healthcare
standards diversely.
 As per case study, multi-disciplinary team members further evolve growth towards determining key competent scenarios and
evolve on comfortable health.
 Ola need to be given therapies sessions, medical treatments and healthcare specifics for further harnessing healthcare needs
significantly.
 Cope up with difficult work situations
 Knowledge regarding latest services and care regarding Dyslexia patients, where NHS provides best services and care for dyslexia
patients (Kent community health NHS foundation trust, 2021).

Barriers
 Unculturable competence in social work.
 Unwillingness or disinterest
 Lack of experience and knowledge with certain groups
 Failure to uphold ethical responsibility.

CONCLUSION
 The presentation has concluded analysis that social workers have huge working responsibility to bring
before functional working rise for providing larger effective services. Analysis has also concluded
research on social workers roles, responsibilities and barriers for strengthening further working
productivity on extended criteria's.
