INTRODUCTION
Present report is based on my own dream job which is to become an efficient social worker
in order to serve the individuals so that I can help them in improvising living standards and well
being. Also, the report will be considering the different roles and responsibilities that a social
worker has and which will be required by me to consider them while serving individuals with the
different services.
MAIN BODY
My dream job
Social work is a scholarly control and professional concern about people, families, gatherings,
and networks with an end goal to upgrade social working and generally speaking great being.
Social working is the manner by which individuals play out their social jobs, and the auxiliary
establishments that are providedto support them. Social work applies sociologies, for example,
human science and research, political theory, general wellbeing, network improvement, law, and
financial matters, to draw in with customer frameworks, direct appraisals, and create mediations
to take care of social and individual issues; and to achieve social change (Wilcox, 2016). It is my
dream to become a social worker as it is towards my keen interest to serve the best to individuals
so that living standards can be improvised, well-being, financial matters, and many more other
issues can easily be resolved.
Quality of a social worker
In present time, it has been analysed to that social worker specifically service as a supportive
individual so that clients can resolve the number of issues or the situations. For this post that I
will be doing would help me in getting a number of qualities and to find some of those well that I
am already having in my own. These qualities are given underneath:
Optimism: Becoming a much more optimistic individual it specifically brings the
appropriate difference from an effective or non effective social worker. In present
context, I can say that, I am pretty much optimistic and filled with enthusiasm that would
help me in in delivering the right service to clients based on the requirements.
Empathy: This is considered to be another quality that helps an individual to analyse the
human behaviour. In present context, I am not that much empathetic person when it will

be required by me too collaborates with other individuals so that I can show the best to
clients in a respectful way.
Effective communication: Over the years, communication has been a crucial quality for
every single job profile. In order to become a much active social worker it will be
required by me too develop communication skills in much effective and efficient manner
help me in getting the knowledge about what my clients are required from me in order to
serve the best to them (Lesch and Kelapile, 2016).
Roles of a social worker
There is certain range of rules that a social worker has while serving to clients and some of these
are required by me to indulge in my own in order to deliver the beat experience to clients and
some of these are given underneath:
Assessing the clients: This is considered to be one of the crucial role of a social worker
where it is required to know about every single thing about the client considering the
multidimensional approach so that to identify the effective working style in order to bring
the positive change (Remi, 2019). Therefore, it will be required by me to focus among
client situation considering the societal systems, organisational perspectives and
individuals perceptions that would lead me to two people understanding the overall client
situation.
Developing and implementing an effective treatment plan: Once the situation of a client
is specifically being analysed, then it is the role of social worker to develop an effective
treatment plan so that he or she can empower the outcomes and to reach to specific goal
which is wellness.
Evaluating and monitoring the improvements: Just when the overall treatment plan is
being implemented then it is the role of social worker to start evaluating the overall
position of the client considering the particular goal are the objective that has been set
while developing the treatment plan (Hanna, Kee and Robertson, 2017). In present
context, it will be required by me to developkeep on looking among different aspects the
overall desired goal and to see the improvements that took place. Here, it will be required
by me to bring modifications if needed in order to reach to the desired goal.

There are a number of responsibilities that a social worker has and some of these are given
underneath:
Maintaining the reports, records and preparing them is considered to be one of the crucial
responsibilities that a social worker has. It will be required by me as well to prepare the
reports based on the health conditions off the client or in relation to any other need of the
client.
Participation in supervising, meetings, training are also said to be some of the important
responsibilities that I may have after becoming an effective social worker. So, it can be
said that contacting and making reference to other agencies and services will help me in
getting the right information for delivering the appropriate data to other services and
agencies about the client. Another responsibility that came in front of effective social
worker is providing the crisis intervention related information to clients so that
appropriate actions that can be taken and to spread awareness among them (Mair, 2017).
CONCLUSION
With the help of above mentioned report, it can easily be said thatbecoming a social worker
is not that easy as it is required by an individual to come up with different range of roles and
responsibilities. On theother hand, becoming much more interested and optimistic will help and
individual serving the best to clients in much effective and in efficient manner.
