INTRODUCTION
Social science is defined as branch of science that devoted to understanding of societies
and connections among individual within each society. The current assignment will be based on
specific job role that is adult social worker. It will explain graduate destination, role analysis, job
description & person specification of chosen ideal job. Lastly, the study will justify reflective
statement, personal development plan and also define CV as well as covering letter.
MAIN BODY
My graduate destination
I am taking graduation in the United Kingdom, and planning to start my professional
career as adult social worker. When I finish my study I will take initiative to fulfill the role and
responsibilities related to it, which is my second priority after completing and achieving high
scores in the university, where I am studying now. The main reason for choosing this nation as
my graduate destination, because there were experienced and highly talented educators available
who gave to knowledge about in which subject or topic an individual learner may want. There
are varied education institutes, organizations and other centers are existing, where knowledge
pool is filled up with such an interesting topic that may I never heard earlier.
Role analysis
It considered as systematic approach that has been utilize to identify relative importance
of specific job role within a company by conducting practice to measure the needs related to it
and accountabilities of role (Gimenez-Jimenez, Calabrò and Urbano, 2020). Here, it is use in the
context of social worker role and to determine history, trends and other information about it.
History- From earlier period to current modern world, social worker is playing vital role
in term of taking initiatives to enhance the living standards of people. It has been analyzed that
professional social work is originated in 19th century (Hölscher and Chiumbu, 2020). It is also
originated in volunteer attempts to consider social queries, paradox of maximizing poverty in a
significantly prosperous and productive economy in North America and Europe. According to
the history, social workers with appropriate or limited resources efforts to address the concern of
local people who live around them in same nation or region.

In recent time, there are varied trends emerge relate to file of social workers as chosen
profession. For example, instead of visiting home or door to door, now each social worker
attempt to communicate with needy people and solve their issues related to personal life by using
advance technologies (Mishna and et.al., 2020). They may conduct survey via digital
technologies, which make their work easier and simpler that really quite good, because due to
these things they may save time and help more people.
Demand- in today’s time, due to pandemic crisis demand for social workers whether they
are adult or not is high, because they are able to contribute to handle the situation by taking
initiatives to treat people, give them treatment as certain of the have knowledge regarding
medical field (Abrams and Dettlaff, 2020).

Reflective statement
Every person has a set of skill that they may use to conduct specific activity or practice,
whether it relate personal or professional career. Just like these people, I also have certain skills
that enable me to do varied things like communication. By using my communication skill, I am
able to interact with other people in effective and influencing manner, which is really quite
important for everyone to do so. Along with this, I also have time management skill, which
contribute to manage my daily activities and life schedule, in systematic manner and that is not
an easy task to anyone to do, because it requires proper planning, organizing and managing in
term of key practices, which a person may need to conduct daily. These two skill are included in
list of academic skills, but also considered as employment as well, which make an individual
capable to obtain desire outcomes while performing their role in a company.
Along with completing my graduation as a part time employee I work as social worker,
but still I do not have such as long experience about it. I wish to perform as adult social worker
in the future after my graduation completion.
Above information is related to skills and experience that I already have. Now, I want to
discussion those things that I need to obtain, which make me capable to meet above person
specification. I need to improve my decision making, problem solving, team work and research

skills, because all these things are quite valuable for me to obtain as they help me to get my ideal
job that is social worker. I also want to develop great knowledge about laws in regard to health
and social care services.
